Weather ~ hot, sunny 82*F
Animal Kingdom again today!!!
We had a bit of a lie-in today as we had breakfast booked at Donald’s Breakfastosaurus but not until 10am. My back was feeling much better but I decided not to do any rides as I wanted to be fit to ride The Mummy for our first time at Universal. As I couldn’t walk very fast Francesca and I made our way over to Dinoland while the others went to collect fastpasses for Expedition Everest.
They took such a long time I am sure they sneaked in a ride!
Breakfast was great fun and the food was good. We saw Mickey, Pluto, Goofy and Donald.
After we finished the others rode Dinosaur, Primeval Whirl, then Expedition Everest with their fastpasses whilst I did some videoing of the park. When we met up again Francesca announced she didn’t like EE anymore ~ bless her, I think this was meant to make me feel better about missing out on it! I can’t say I care very much for Dinoland ~ it always looks a bit tacky to me ~ I think the best part is this sign on the way out!
We queued for the next showing of Finding Nemo –The Musical which was excellent then watched It’s Tough to be a Bug ~ Bryan and I find this really funny but none of the girls like it and don’t even bother putting their 3D glasses on!
We walked the Discovery Island Trails then the Pangani Forest Exploration Trail and spent ages watching these cute otters who were having great fun playing.
We watched the Jungle Jammin’ Parade again then went to Pizzafari to eat. Samantha, Danielle and Bryan had Caesar salad, Francesca had pizza and I had a chicken parmesan sandwich. I wouldn’t choose this again as it was a bit too dry although the others enjoyed their food.
We then visited Camp Minnie-Mickey for photos with Mickey, Minnie, Goofy and Donald
then as we turned the corner there was Stitch. Whilst we were waiting our turn my friend Suzanne and her family walked past, saw us and came over for a chat. It was lovely to see her and hear all about what they have been doing ~ we have spent many hours excitedly planning our holidays and as our itineraries didn’t tie up it was a lovely surprise to see her!
We watched the final show of the Lion King which was very good but having seen both shows twice now, I do prefer DLRP’s.
It was dark when we came out and the park was beautifully lit up. I forgot to say we treated ourselves to a Pal Mickey with a safari suit which he proudly wore today and a poncho in case the weather turns wet!!!
Tomorrow ~ Universal Studios
