I've seen various planning websites suggest asking the characters questions to make M&G's more fun. What are some of the things that you all have talked about with characters?

During Star Wars Weekend last year - DD taught several of the characters how to do "force push" Phineas and Ferb already knew of course (they in fact went on to have a pretend light saber battle - too much fun!)

Merida and DD for some reason (while it was raining ) started discussing how it was lucky it wasn't raining bears - then Merida pointed out it would be great if they were gummy bears and she proceeded to open her mouth and pretend to catch them.

Aladdin has told us a few stories about teaching Jasmine to "camel tip" and one other I can't remember at the moment.

Naveen told us how he (Tiana claimed to have nothing to do with it) tried to let the frogs out at AK (to free them). Very funny!

DD asked Flynn what was in his sachel - that turned into an interesting conversation.

DD gave Ariel a plastic fork on our last trip her reaction was priceless!

Cute!

I told Capt. Hook I hated Peter Pan and he gave me an enthusiastic high 5!

I was wearing a birthday button when I met Anna and Elsa. Anna asked me if I'd had any chocolate to celebrate my birthday with, and I said not yet but that we were headed to the food and wine festival later that night to get some goodies. She started talking about different goodies from the festival that "friends had brought her" and said I just had to try them :)

DH was wearing a dr. who themed vinyl decal on his magic band, and he got TONS of comments on it from various CMs. He also wore a "Knock Knock" "Who's There?" "Doctor" shirt one day, and ended up being chosen in the Monsters Inc Laugh Floor because he had a joke on his shirt. The monster went on to talk about how he knew 12 doctors, and how the 10th was his favorite - etc..making all kinds of Dr. Who references. The CM holding the mic for DH was trying very hard not to crack up. It was awesome :D. By far the best experience we've had!

I don't usually get autographs, but this time I brought some birthday cards I made w/characters' photos. A friend of mine is arriving this Friday, and I wanted to get some cards signed by the characters for her 5 y/o daughter (just turned 5) so that the cards (and a small gift) could be waiting for them in their room when they check in on Friday. The characters loved seeing themselves on the cards, and they also enjoyed that I was pixie dusting another family like that.

I also brought a card of Tinkerbell from the FOF parade for Tink to sign for my daughter. DD turned 2 in July and had a Tinkerbell birthday party, wearing a tink costume and everything. I showed her a pic of DD all dressed up (this was an adults only trip), and she loved it! She even gave DD a new nickname (adding "bell" onto her name, which does actually work very well with her name!).

Something else I did that the characters seemed to enjoy was ask to take pics of them by themselves first. I want to make a Shutterfly autograph book for DD when she's older, with 1 side of a 2 page layout being pics of the character alone and pics of DH and I and family w/the characters, and the other page being blank so that the character can sign, and we can paste in a pic of DD with the character after we get home. All of the characters really got "into character" (pardon the pun) for those pictures!
