Hi everyone!!

I need your suggestions. We are going to Florida this December and staying at the Wyndham Palms for 6 nights, but the last day of our vacation...also my DS 7th birthday the resort was full.
So we want to stay at a "FUN" hotel for the kids for our last night.....any suggestions???

Disney's all star resort would appeal to your kids. Most of the holiday inn have a kids desk and kids activities (but they may require a 3 day stay)

HIFS. Tons of stuff for the kids to do. Zero depth entry pool with stationary toys, mini golf, ping pong, train rides, kareoke, bingo, and face painting.

What about the Marriot Orlando World Center for its indoor pool. My experience with kids that age is that it is such a novelty to be able to swim in December. I think there are also indoor pools at Embassy Suites and the Courtyard at Marriot Village. Think how nicely they would sleep that night! By the way, we are in Atlanta and it would never be warm enough for us to swim in December, if you are from the north, you might be comfortable in an outdoor pool. In that case, pick anything with a waterslide, maybe the Wilderness Lodge. For more of a budget hotel with waterslide and putt-putt look at www.calypsocay.com.

REALLY kid-oriented fun. They loved pigging out on whatever they each chose at the large free breakfast buffet. The free eve entertainment, face-painting was REALLY good (a tip jar there). My kids had a Magic Show night they were there and for joining in (lots of kids were called up) they got additional tokens for the games room there. We went beginning of Jan & it was VERY cold, but kids had to swim in that pool. And they loved it. Large climber set. Cute train ride.

Dine at back of dining area & can watch swans on their lake (& in December they have own lake light parade).
Do get a Priority Club membership (free) & kids (& Mom) got additional treats (some game room tokens here too) at check-in along with late check-out.
Choose the room theme you think your Bday child would really like so special to her & request it.
Last December (& 1 previously, I think) the Holiday Inns incl. HIFS had a B1G1 night free promotion that brought rate down to around $70 or $80 I think. Quite the deal. Were some black-out dates. Oh, sorry, think you said you're only looking for 1 night. Still deals to be had with them thru DU & others.

We found the restaurant dinner buffet to be overpriced & awful though so don't recommend it, but plenty of other options.

Our kids want to go to Florida again because of this hotel as much as for Mickey & Shrek!
