If it is your first family trip ever, then you need to be thankful for anywhere you go as a family. It's the people who are important, not the place. When I was growing up, our vacation consisted of traveling the 300 mile trip to visit relatives in another state. When I got older, we would take a few days and take a long way there to see historical sites in the state. There are a lot of places I wish we could have gone but we never complained about not having the money. We were glad to be together. My dad died 19 years ago. I have visited many places since then, including the first of many trips to Disney. I would trade then in if I could have Dad here.
So my advice is to be thankful you have a family...save your money and maybe next year you can take that magical trip to Disney.
