We loved MNSSHP! The parade, the fireworks, the shows, the characters and the candy all added up to a great night. What really made it for us though was that the 7 of us were all in costume from age 8 to age 57! The reactions and comments we received really made our night. You can see us in our home made cannibal costumes below.
I would do it all again in a flash. Have a great time if you decide to go.
Loved it last year, so going again this year!!! Wore accessories rather than a full blown outfit last year but might go a little mad this time around...
This is going to be my 4th visit! I love it! Its a great time to go to the park. Wishes is made extra special with Hallowishes. The parade is only out during the event. You can get a load of candy (which I will admit I bring back as a present for work most years as I never eat as much as I collect) and you get to go on rides that usually have less wait times.
We went in 2006, and the thing that sticks in my mind, is the songs
that are playing in main street all night, they are so catchy, you will be humming them for months, another bonus is the park is less busy.
Done it 3 times at Magic Kingdom and twice at California Adventure Disneyland. Great evenings.
They used to give you free family photo, send it thru post, usually got home before us. But they stopped doing that unfortuately, heres a couple of pics we got from 2003 & 2005.
As for Candy, we did Pirates party last year and got loads but this year we didn't it was just a candy necklace at one stop and candy ring at another, other stops were hats, beads etc, just hope they are not stopping candy at MNSSHP.
We did it in 2006 and had a great time. Collecting the sweets was great fun, although te weight of them when we tried to check in coming back caused a problem. I had to put them in my hand luggage and it weighed a ton. It's also a good excuse to dress up, and that's not just the kids. The best costume we saw was a guy wit his two kids. The kids were dressed up as Luke Skywalker and something (can't remeber off hand), but the dad was dressed up at Princess Laya. Brilliant.
Also, it great to be able to walk onto most of the rides and to do things like Thunder Railroad in the dark.
Well worth doing, so go, dress up and enjoy the evening.
Seems to be one of those thing growing in popularity then Hmmm can I think of a good outfit ..... maybe I'll think about it closer to the event. That said I think we'll get the tickets for it Thanks for your help everyone.
