Fully Booked! So excited!

Yeah I was adamant on direct this time, we did indirect last time & it meant we missed all of our last day as our domestic flight was so early so I wanted direct this time, more time at Dis, and less faffing! Have you looked at Thomas Cook they seem to come up cheaper then Virgin, or Condor? They came up on Kayak when I was religiously searching.

Just booked some flights for relatives tonight. 29th July ~ 14th Aug, 2 ad & 1 ch.

VA wanted £3,540
Thomas Cook £3,359

Booked them thru Netflights (hope to get 2.5% cashback) with Condor which are codeshare on Thomas Cook (exact same flights as above) for £2,294

Condor are definitely coming up cheaper then! I'd found some direct flights to New York with them last year for this year for £370 but didn't get chance to book them!

Even with your savings Wayne, it's still pricey isn't it for school holiday periods!

Its what airlines need to charge in school hols to make a profit, they lose money most of the year and make a profit in school hols.

Its around what they have paid for last 2 Augusts, 2012 with VA direct then last year due to silly prices with VA they went indirect with Aer Lingus thru Dublin for similar price, this year nothing under £800pp indirect or well over £1,000 direct. They seem to be standard prices for August now.

I have no idea how VA are surviving, lost over £300million in past few years so they keep increasing prices to try make a profit but then many of us won't fly with them due to high prices.
