Fuel Prices Where We Live

South of Nashville yesterday

gas was $1.71

diesel was $2.62

Well on monday the price bubble finally burst here in So Bama. It was 1.99 for reg. and has dropped more as the week wore on. Last night it had made it down to 1.94 reg and 2.04 for plus. I think deisel was around 2.65. Based on todays news of gas dropping to under $50 a barrel we should continue to see small drops thru winter.

I don't drive that much but for some reason this has brightened my mood quite a bit. Maybe it will effect others too and the economy will rebound.

Saw a station today that had gas for $1.66. That is the lowest I have seen around her for a couple of years.

According to MSN Gas Price finder by Zip Code, Disney Hess is $1.91 for regular. Locally our RaceTrac was $1.92 last evening.

2.47 here - 3.40 for diesel - I hate this state!

Oh, we also live 15 miles away from one of the largest hydro electric plants in the world and we pay some of the highest electric rates in the country last month was $.165/KWh!

But the weather is nice here

here in frigid florida this morning gas is 1.91. I am waiting for it to go lower and then go fill up the MH.

Electric utility deregulation was a great idea, wasn't it Al? Next year PPL here in PA will be doing the same thing. They started a propoganda campaign on TV with a very kind looking gentleman telling us "Electric utility deregulation is a GOOOOOOOD thing." We are expecting at least a 30% increase in our utility bills. PPL has responded to concerns by allowing its customers to PREPAY the increase beginning this year. What a bunch of guys.
