FTD.com - VENT!!! OT

I used www.proflowers.com for Mother's Day for my mom and MIL and had great success with both orders. A little cheaper than FTD and they FedEx them over night fresh from the grower. The only "catch" is that the person getting the flowers has to arrange them in a vase, they don't come pre-assembled. Both my mom and MIL said that they lasted longer than traditional flowers from FTD and were beautiful.

I have also used proflowers with great success. I have sent them about five times in the past year...of those five I personally saw two of the arrangements (when I visited the recipient) and my mom saw the others. They were all very fresh and looked like what I ordered on the website. I also like that they send you emails telling you when your order has shipped, when its been delivered. etc.
:thumbsup2

Okay, I posted above that DH had sent me flowers from FTD. I asked him, and he said they were from proflowers. So I guess, it just varies what your flowers will look like.

Anyway, to the OP, I'm keeping you and DH in my prayers. We love our soldiers! We appreciate the sacrifices that both of you make! God bless! I hope the year passes quickly for you and brings your DH back safely into your arms.

:grouphug: to you and your DH-he will be in my prayers. Now, here's a funny story about an ex-boyfriend sending me flowers. We had broken up and I guess in an effort to get back together, he sent me roses at work. They were beautiful but we noticed(my co-workers and myself) that there were only 10 roses. :confused3 Weird but whatever I thought. No way, mt co-workers said"call the florist-there should be 12 roses" So, I did and they looked up the order, came back on the phone and said"Actually, he only paid for 9 roses, we sent an extra." OMG, I wanted to die!!!! I was so embarrassed, but now think it's pretty funny. BTW, we didn't get back together :rotfl:

I second the Proflowers recommendation. I have never had a problem with them and the flowers stay wonderful for a week or longer.

Oh, great - nobody's addressed my area of 'expertise' :teeth: yet!
If your mother had the flowers shipped FedEx priority, they SHOULD have arrived by 10:30 AM (even to a residential address), and she is entitled to a refund!!!! Go to www.fedex.com for information. If you can't find it, I'll check at work today; no I don't work for them but we ship FedEx a LOT.
She does need to double-check, though - FedEx Standard delivery only guarantees by 4 PM; but now I'm curious how much more proflowers charges for the different delivery guarantees compared to what FedEx charges...

FTD.com is awful. twice now they messed up my order. Dh ordered me a huge valentines arrangement (deluxe) also a card and ballons. i got a vase with 2 mums in it. he called and they refunded almost all the money back. but he was so upset that my v-day present was so lol empty! the first time he ordered my a dozen roses and a vase and i got a dozen carnations and the delivery person argued with my dh that they never make mistakes lol

I received some flowers this past year and had no idea at first where they came from. The note was not included, and the flowers weren't looking perfect upon arrival either. I finally called FTD to find out who sent them to me - and he read the card, and offered to send a replacement card since I'd not gotten one.

I'd definitely never use FTD myself!

I had a friend send me flowers in June from FTD.com and had the same type of experience. The box arrived about 2pm left on my doorstep and when I opened up the box the flowers were hot and wilted, the vase was almost too hot to touch. Imagine them riding around in a Fedex truck all day in the Texas heat. I was very surprised they came this way but I knew if I put them into water that everything would pick back up and it did after a day of water.

I only knew this because my mom has been a florist for the past 20 years and I grew up in a flower shop, if I hadn't I would have been really totally upset and disappointed in getting flowers like this, heck I still was, no one should get dead looking flowers delivered to them. Very disappointing.

This is the only place dh uses now. We have only had one that didn't look up to par and they offered to send him a new batch. We just had them refund our money no problems. Other than that I have gotten some of the most beautiful arrangements from them.

I sent Proflowers to my moms on mothers day, they were beautiful! The roses lasted over a week and my Mom and mother in law just loved them. I used a local florist for the grandmas as I had read that the pro flowers arrived boxed and need to be arrainged and I didnt think that would go over well with the grandmas. But I will use pro flowers again with out a second thought!
