We usually go Memorial Day weekend. Only problem is some years the dear flies are bad. And yes it is hot then also. but that is why we live in florida. I can take the hot times much better than like this past christmas. was just too dang cold to enjoy.
Is it completely unbearable? We would be staying in a cabin, but I'm wondering how bad it is around the campground? Also, we would be flying, so where could we buy some groceries without having a car? Thanks!
When the boys were in school we did quite a few Jun/Jul/Aug trips, but now I will stick to the the Oct/Nov and Dec/Jan visits. With the lakes and canals and heat and the afternoon thunderstorms not only is it hot, but very humid and just not something that I want to endure any longer when I don't have to.
Unless it's because of your party size, w/o a car I'm not sure how much the cabins are a good deal over what you can do with the specials at the economy Resorts like Pop, Music, All Star with their food courts. With that being said I have never done WDW in anything except off site in 1977 at Jellystone and FW with a day trip in 1972 when I was stationed at Mayport NS.
Be sure to catch the nightly sing-along and outdoor movies at Fort Wilderness Resort. Bring marshmallows for toasting or purchase a s'mores kit at the nearby Meadow Trading Post.
