Ft. Wilderness Campground at Christmas

It seems we are late to the party, but my husband was hoping to take our motorhome to Disney this coming Christmas, but the online reservations are saying the campground is full. There are some tent/pop-up sites, but our 45ft motorhome won't fit in those. :lol: I haven't called reservations yet, but was wondering if anyone has any experience getting a campsite at Christmas. Will it be impossible at this point?

Not that we don't already have two Disney trip planned between now and then (and my husband is taking my dad and our sons to Disney Land this summer) but still, a Christmas in Disney would be a fun way to end the year. Any advice or BTDT experience would be appreciated.

The DIS has a separate Camping Board and I know they can answer your questions over there about camping at The Fort!

Oh thank you! I'll be reading a lot in the camping board. I'm sorry I didn't see that first. The good news is I called and was able to make reservations from Dec 22 until Jan 1. There are two nights the campground is booked but I'm hoping closer to Dec we can get those nights too, otherwise we'll just go sleep at the Walmart parking lot.
