That might be the single best info I've learned since buying into BRV.!!There is no "dedicated" coffee shop. Roaring Fork makes really good drinks but I like my 6:00 in the morning Joffrey's at Contemporary.
Roaring Fork has extremely good (and high in calorie) iced coffee drinks. Our stay coming up will be our first actual stay at WL but we always find our way to Roaring Fork for a treat.That might be the single best info I've learned since buying into BRV.!!
I need my coffee in the morning, and I drink it iced, so maybe I'll have to figure out something for the fridge the night before.![]()
It may not be targeted to current but the new DVC owners who may be looking for more of a family option to sleep more people.Wonder what percent of current DVC owners will be interested in this? Has no appeal to me at all but many people do love the fort.
Some might do resort-only stays, but as an AP/DCV family we already enjoy more leisurely vacations with our park time. I could see some in my family being happy with an even more resort-focused approach, and this looks like it could be a great place for that mindset… but others would prefer easier access to …everything!!It might be a good resort only stay. Do the outdoor stuff.
Combine it with SSR and Disney Springs
There is a golf cart in the artist rendering. I doubt they will be included, but there will be a discount for blue card members.It’s in the fine text
*golf cart parking fee may apply
Even though this made me laugh, I hadn’t thought about it! Unless these are the best little cabins in the US, with free golf cart usage & dedicated buses (or better yet, a Skyliner stop!)… it’s going to be a very hard sell on the resale market.Wildest DVC In The Wilderness!! Imagine how resale will go being restricted to a camp out.
I thought the same thing!There is a golf cart in the artist rendering. I doubt they will be included, but there will be a discount for blue card members.
I feel like I’m extremely interested in staying here but in my mind would struggle to justify paying more then 20 pts a night to stay here. If point charts have in mind this is smallest 1bedroom at a value resort rather then deluxe I could see these being extremely popular. If they price them as a copper creeks light with point charts even close to the ssr treehouses like some suggest I just don’t see justification to stay there.Wonder what percent of current DVC owners will be interested in this? I’m thinking they’d be smart to price them similar to the AKV value 1-bedrooms, which would be in-line with the cabins’ current cash rates.I feel like I’m extremely interested in staying here but in my mind would struggle to justify paying more then 20 pts a night to stay here. I do think @Leight19 has a valid point that the resort’s status (& its amenities) need to be considered when pricing these cabins. The proposed “collection of improvements” to FW will need to be substantial, IMO.The trade off could be the increase in guests…it’s smaller than a traditional 1 bedroom..but will sleep an 1 or 2 additional guests…but still have the same amenities as a 1 bedroom.
Thar is why I could see the price similar to the 1 bedrooms elsewhere, maybe like SSR level of points?
I'd say it to get rid of 50 to make room for amenities and other attraction type stuff, to improve the value. (build a pool area, or volleyball (or any other sport) courts, small amphitheater, or something?)Stray thoughts;
- There’s over 400 cabins today. Why 350?
- The cabin’s pads are meaningfully larger than the actual cabins, currently
- It’s a little odd that they’re not just using what’s already there and was extensively redone 7 years ago. I imagine it’s to make them larger
- The cabins are the sites as far as possible from Pioneer Hall, except loop 1. Will they build new dining?
