I am trying to get pink car. :thumbsup2 I am terrible at the ghosts game ,but I have played 6 times and 3 of the times I have gotten more then 30 ghosts :woohoo: . It is not registering on the quest thing. :sad2: I emailed VMK and did not get a response :guilty: . I emailed the help button on VMK while in mansion and they told me to email front page. I thought I read some other people were having the same problem and wanted to know how you resolved it? :confused3

When I was doing the blue car quest, I had trouble getting the quest to register that I had captured ten ghosts. I just kept playing and eventually it kicked in.

I can understand your frustration. I have only gotten thirty ghosts once, so for me to get that many is rare. To have to do it again and again would drive me crazy. Good luck and I hope you get your pink car soon!

Not sure if this is it or not but if you switch another player back from being a ghost, those points do not count in your total to pass the quest stage.

The problem with that game registering for quests may be that you are catching the opposite team when they are "ghosts".
For some reason, those do not count for quests.

Your best bet is to play with some really good players, possibly with just yourself against 2 or 3 people.

As long as the opposite team catches their ghosts, your ghosts will populate.

If you need help, I can help you. :)

I'm working on the green car quest, and I'm FRUSTRATED to the point of SCREAMING!! AAAAAAAAAAAAGH!!! I keep trying to play HM. Here's what happens. Either ....

1 - the other player leaves before the game is finished

or

2 - it's such a low scoring game that I can't get 45 ghosts

But in the off-chance that I DO get 45 ghosts (today I averaged 1 out of every 4 games played), I get to go to the TOMORROWLAND MONORAIL STATION and go on a WILD GOOSE CHASE FOR ATOMS! I can find the first one (at the top left). But the 2nd one is NOWHERE IN SIGHT!! Of course, time runs out, and I HAVE TO PLAY HM AGAIN!!

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGH!!!!!!

(ok....deep breath....it's just a game......relax........ok.....)

Can ANYONE offer some HELP here!?!?!?!?!?!?! It's about to the point where I'm going to go to the real HM in WDW in a couple of years, and do something where I probably get kicked out! (picture 4 disney cops taking hold of me as I'm half-choking some dude in the HM! LOL!!!!!!!!! :rotfl: :rotfl: )

Hey Dan! I thought the green car quest was still 85 ghosts and yellow was 45? Also try sitting in the chairs to find the atoms, i know at least one of them is in the chairs on the right side.

green...yellow...orange...purple....plaid.....whatever. all the colors are melting into my head at this point!!!!!! Frustration + insomnia = Dan's Custom Brain Fry! ...

thanks, tho....I'll try the chairs on my next attempt...

And get some people from here to help you set the game up so you will get enough ghosts. We're getting really good at it! The first thing is to figure out who is going to play. Once that is settled, have someone start a game in an empty lobby. Wait for the chosen players to join but boot any players who are not part of the set up.

A few tips for cooperative playing for the person being helped. Your job is to catch as many genuine ghosts as you can while avoiding these pitfalls:
Do not turn the other team back from ghosts unless you absolutely can't avoid it. Turning the other team back doesn't count as points for the quests so you are wasting your time and losing the opportunity to catch some genuine ghosts.
Do not run away from the other team if you get turned into a ghost. Either run toward the nearest player or stand still so they can turn you back as soon as possible. You need to maximize your ghost catching time.
Do not try to get a single ghost if it is surrounded by the other team's ghosts. Allow the other team to clear their ghosts out of the way before going after your ghosts. It keeps you from being turned into a ghost which takes time away from your ability to catch more of your ghosts.
Do not win both of the first two rounds unless you have enough ghosts for your quest task. If you do this, you have blown an opportunity to complete the task for the quest. You may have to beg and bribe others to help you again. :rotfl2:

A few tips for cooperative playing for the helpers. Your job is to play the game to allow the helpee to get the required number of ghosts:
Do not get allow the helpee to turn you back from a ghost. Run away from the helpee if you are turned into a ghost. Use this opportunity to shake some coffins or type something witty or encouraging in the game.
Do not run away from the helpee if they are turned into a ghost. Run toward them and turn them back as soon as possible to maximize their ghost capturing time.
Do not allow your ghosts to block the helpee's path to their ghosts. Get to your ghosts first and capture them to prevent the helpee from being turned into a ghost and losing precious ghost catching time.
Do not win both of the first two rounds unless the helpee has enough ghosts to complete their task for the quest. If you do this, the helpee will be disappointed that you didn't fulfill your promise and you will feel like a big Dumbo. :rotfl2: Pick someone on your team to be a leader and watch the ghost counts to make sure the correct team wins the second round. Even if you aren't the team leader, keep track of the ghost counts just in case.

It doesn't matter who wins the third round. Everyone can go for as many ghosts as they can catch but the helpers still have to work toward achieving the helpees goal.

The great thing is, everyone benefits from this set up. The helpee completes their task plus earns some ghost credits. The helpers earn ghost credits and feel the satisfaction from helping someone complete their task.

Regarding finding atoms, for DanMedix:
- the monorail station platform is quite small
- so, if you DON'T see the atom sitting out in the opening, then it MUST be in one of the few places that you can't "see"
- so, when I did the Atom hunt, can could not see the atom out in the opening, I just walked over and sat on ALL the places that I couldn't see; if the station isn't crowded with people, you can do that in just a few seconds

Regarding qruthie's tips on ghosting, I agree with most but disagree with a few things:

I agree that you should NOT go out of your way to chase down the other team's ghostified players, because they don't "count" to your total, BUT for a maximum scoring game (of "real" ghosts that "count"), you want BOTH sides to spend the LEAST amount of time "ghostified" as possible.

That's because if a player is a ghost, s/he isn't hosing down the computer ghosts, and so generation of more ghosts will be slowed, and the total number of ghosts that count for the game will be lower.

Of course, this matters less in a 3 on 1, or 4 on 1, because the helping team will have other players still regenerating ghosts, but in a 2 on 1 or 1 on 1, you need to have both teams "active" as much of the game as possible, to maximize the ghost count.

Bezoar is correct, don't go out of your way but the more ghosts caught no matter the color the more that will come out. An additional point would be if you are on the helping team, and you get turned do one of two things. If you can reach the person before turning run to then to get changed back or shake the coffins for ghosts to come out. Another tip is if you have for people and the person trying for the goal seems to be getting turned a lot - have one person stick close to them change them quick and shake ghosts out. they will get less credit but it's about helping. If there has been little changing a score of 32 per round should be enough. Any score by the player attemping to get the goal that is lower then 30 means they will not get there particularly in the first round. Since in order to go three rounds you have to throw a round it - that round will usually yield the least amount of ghost catching. I recomend the helping team lose the first round if you are having problems getting it to go 3 rounds, that gets rid of that worry early

You have to make sure you are on your own team with nobody else. Just goal for getting 15 ghosts each round and you'll be good. Sometimes its better if it is you against 4 other people since there are more ghosts of your color :) Good luck!

Remember players as ghosts do not add to your ghost caught score for the quest.
