Frustrated with airlines!

Not sure if anyone here has been trying to book flights to Florida, but its driving me nuts! First I booked with Air Canada and literally 2 days later, they change both flights to arrive at 11pm (instead of 11am) and then changed it so there are 2 layovers instead of a direct flight. So I cancelled that one. Then I booked with Air Transat and again, few days later, they cancel the flight down to Florida and move it to 3 days later! So again, another cancellation.

At this point I guess I'll have to wait closer until my travel date (September 14th) but I'm nervous they're going to cancel that flight yet again. Has anyone else been having the same issue?

I think until the rules are finalized for those time periods, it will be impossible to say what the airlines will end up doing.

I booked direct flights (Air Canada, Ottawa to MCO) for December and my flight there was changed to non-direct a couple days later. I accepted the change and chose a flight that still arrived in the morning, but I would probably have booked differently if I had known since WestJet still has direct flights there that day (so far). The flight home was moved to leave 20 minutes later which is actually better for me any way, gives an extra 20 minutes to get to the airport. I fully expect more changes depending on how things roll out. I just hope that my December trip will still be able to happen.

Seeing things like that is why I have no interest in booking any travel outside of Canada. Til they drop all the hoops you have to jump through to cross the border it's not worth it

Have had the best luck with AA.

Yep, happy to know they're hittin' 'em where it hurts.

I've booked two trips with AC, one for August inside Canada and for March to Orlando, and I've already had my flights changed twice. Like a PP mentioned, they are offering more than they're planning to actually fly, just for us to lock in our money with them.

I had the same experience with JetBlue in Syracuse. I looked at the Toronto flight with Air Canada and West Jet and decided to wait until closer to our date to avoid this sort of thing again. Very frustrating.

I agree. It’s not a vacation if I have to get us to a testing centre multiple times, worry about when results will come in, test on arrival when I have Nexus and the whole point is to zip through the airport.
