Frumpy Moms Unite (FMU)

I am going to do a non-frumpy thing today. I will make time to actually wax my legs. I bought a kit this morning. The hair on my legs is so long, I could probably braid it. TMI, I know.

Ewwww, you're the one I saw buying the waxing kit! Yes, I do think that you could braid the hairs! ;) Next time wear lime green so I know you're a DISer! :rotfl: ;)

You couldn't possibly have seen my leg hair as it is covered by my too long "mom jeans" :rotfl2:

But the hairs were so long they were out the bottom of the pants, dragging on the floor!!! :rotfl:

How wonderful. Welcome to all my new moms. I did do my treadmill today. Now I am having a Boca burger for dinner and then off to do a facial mask. DD can just entertain herself for one evening.

Let me know how that goes. I have never used a wax kit for legs. I have used them for the upper lip and they removed absolutely NOTHING. That reminds me. It is swimsuit weather. How does everyone remove "that" hair? I need some ideas. Shaving just causes bumps and irritations in a few days as it grows in. Thanks.

I shave it - with the Intuition Razor. I LOVE THE INTUITION RAZOR! It is THE BEST for shaving "that" hair. I bought all my g/f's one, last Christmas...theyre amazing. http://www.schickintuition.com/

Can I join the frump club? :)

It seems like no matter how much pluckin', pullin', paintin', powderin', peeling', pumicin', shavin', shampooin', shapin', shoppin' and slatherin' I do, I still feel frumpy! What's a middle aged woman to do? Any kind of jeans make you look like a muffin top when you got too much muffin! :sad2:

Is that enough to initiate me into the club?

Absolutely. Welcome to the club. :goodvibes

What is the first thing you want to work on?

That is the only razor I use. I do like it for my legs and underarms. Unfortunately I must have stubborn "other" hair. :confused3 Just isn't working for me. I do love that razor though.

Don't laugh, but after shaving use Dove stick deodorant. It helps with the bumps and redness.

I use the Intuition for Sensitive Skin also, and I love it, but it still gives me itchy red bumps when I use it on the "other" area. I have very fair skin that seems to get more sensitive every year that goes by. Itchy red bumps are *very* obvious on my very fair skin, as is stubble if I leave any trace of hair behind by shaving "gently" (i.e., in the direction of the hair growth). I usually end up just wearing board shorts all summer, because I can't find a solution to this problem.

This sounds like a good idea, but believe it or not, even the Dove sensitive skin deoderant leaves itchy red bumps on my underarms! The only thing I've found that doesn't do that is the all natural "crystal" deoderant - just mineral salts and water. I can't use anything with an actual anti-perspirant in it.

Well, while we're being that personal, anyone elsehave a problem with deodorant/anti-perspirant they've used for a long time just not working anymore? I've had it happen twice now. Must try a new brand next time I get to the store.

We've all had it happen. Ive found even changing your normal SCENT from whatever deodeorant you use, works.

But - Im on an Arm & Hammer Deo kick lately - i love that stuff.
