I'll admit, I like the movie Frozen, I like the music. But I was hesitant to do the Frozen singalong at DHS because I thought it would just be song leaders leading the audience in the songs. Was I wrong! It is a neat little show, with two surprisingly engaging characters (whose names escape me at the moment). They were funny, making pokes and jokes at the songs and the frozen characters just enough to be entertaining. And it was kinda neat hearing all those little voices from the audience singing at the top of their lungs. A mass choir of sorts.

I didn't particularly rate Frozen (I'm a Tangled girl myself) but I really enjoyed the sing-a-long. The royal historians are hilarious. Took my mum to see it at Disneyland in February and it wasn't half as good. The punch lines were way more family orientated :sad2:

Totally agree with you both. I didn't love or hate the movie, so I wasn't expecting much, but it was a really funny show. Dh agreed and he's certainly not a Frozen fan. Well worth going to see!

We're a group of adults and we were pleasantly surprised as well when we saw it on our trip this past March. Personally, I find Frozen's music incredibly disappointing (and lazy in its rhyme schemes/lyrics) particularly when placed up against the 1990s era of animated films (Beauty and the Beast, Little Mermaid, Aladdin, etc). However, I thought the show was well done and did a nice job of poking fun at the film. Do I need to see this every time I head to the Studios? Not likely, but it's nice to know that it's there in case a few years from now we want to stop in.

Is it aimed mostly and young girls? I have two teenage girls that in general don't care for all the Frozen hoopla. If its not overly little girl style they might enjoy it. Same goes for the upcoming Frozen ride.

Glad to hear this. Wasn't really planning or not planning to see it next month. Just figured if it fit in we would go but now I kind of want to check it out! Thanks

I enjoy it every time I've been to DHS, and DH enjoys it too. The theater was nearly completely full when we saw it twice the week of May 2.

It's hilarious. I was really surprised by how much I liked it the first time I saw it!

It's a good show and I'd definitely recommend it but it's just a one and done show for us.

One of my favourite memories from this year's trip was seeing that show on Mother's Day, and as they showed the part in Do You Want To Build A Snowman when the shipwreck killed the parents, the male host did a whole "dead parents? What is this, Bambi? The Lion King? ANY DISNEY MOVIE? IT'S MOTHER'S DAY!" routine and had the entire theatre in stitches cheering and laughing. I love the idea that they add extra little gems like that depending on the hosts and day from time to time! Such a great show!

I was also pleasantly surprised. What I love was how funny it was. Also loved seeing dd belting out "Let It Go" when an hour earlier she was declaring Frozen for "babies."

We were very excited that the sing-along was so good! The actors were fantastic!

We got a seat near the exit - assuming we would use that exit. We were so entertained & had so much fun, the thought of leaving never entered our minds!

Would I go again? Yes!!!!!

If they really really don't like Frozen then they won't like it :) I think it's very well done though and worth seeing once. It strikes a good balance between being for little kids and being enjoyable for adults.

This is good to know! I had begrudgingly taken it off our DHS plans for the day because stage shows really aren't my kids' favorite ... but they are frozen fans so looks like it's back on the books for our plan.

We absolutely loved it. We almost hopped back to HS later in our trip just to see it again!

We confess we are two adults that have enjoyed the " royal historians" on more than one occasion. Also love to hear the dads in the audience "Let it Go"...

if they are first grade or younger, then I would say it's a MUST DO... It's very engaging for the children b/c the songs break it up.

My 2-year old son is in love with Frozen lately, and it was one of the things we missed last trip. I really hope he likes the song-a-long - I believe he is the only toddler in history to hate both The Disney Jr show and Peter Pan ride.
