Frozen Fireworks: Alaska on the Wonder July 2, 2012

Travelbee,

For the Fishextenders, Just to let you know our past upgrade experience...
We weren't looking for a port upgrade in the past, we just got to the port and they had already assigned us a different room. It might be best if there was a meet-n-greet where we can all double check the room numbers.

Bunless - I see your point. I remember people updating their stateroom info at the port and the meet and greet too. But there'd still be problems with those who can't make the meet and greet and therefore won't get updated info. I'd suggest if someone's room # changed after the list is finalized, they simply deliver a note with their new room # when they deliver their FEs.

Think I know what we're going to do. Just have to wait till the 18th. Thanks for all the info. Still so excited, can't wait!

Which European cruise did you choose for 2013? We booked 6/15 Greece and 6/27 Venice and will have to decide which one to keep later. Our friends prefer Greece but schedule work better for us 6/27.

We are booked on the 6/27/13 Mediterranean! Hope to see you there.

We also preferred the 6/15/13 itinerary, but with school just getting out it would have been a scamble (DH and DD are teachers) and it would have limited our pre-stay days. We prefer pre-stay to post-stay because we like to relax and recover from jetlag.

We're confirmed on the 7/13/13 Med cruise (with Greece) :cool1: We'll go at least 4 days early, maybe longer. I think this is the longest lead-time we've ever had on a vacation.

Thank you for setting this up!:cool1:

Hannah - Can you add the link to sign up for the FE to the first post?

Looking over the calendar, I am camping the weekend of 6/22 and leave for Seattle on 6/29. I'll need more than a weekend to get the FE done. Does 6/8 deadline to sign up for the FE work for everyone?

hooray for getting the cruise you want. Now for the fun of planning.

I'm buying mine so anything works for me. We fly out on the 30 June.

Get to do our on-line check-in on Wednesday. Is there anything special on the ship that our 8 year old DGD princess: and our 11 year old DGS pirate: especially need to sign up for before we board?

Still deciding what to do in each port. Our list keeps getting longer.:confused3

Just a FYI, booking window starts at midnight on 4/18 so for west coast travelers like us, we can actually book Palo, port excursions and spa tomorrow night at 9 pm. As far as I know, there are no on board activities that you can book for the kids (except register them for the kids club).

Hope everyone has a great Easter and Spring Break. Let the chatter resume!

Thanks Travelbee,

We'll be online at 9:00pm tomorrow night. We've finally made our decisions on what to do. We have 1st and 2nd choices and will be happy with what we get. :thumbsup2

If we sign up for an excursion and change our mind, can we cancel it?

yes, up until 3 days prior to the cruise sailing.

Did you get the excursions that you wanted? What did you get?

Getting so excited about this trip and still a long way to go!

My son and I started packing out suitcase this weekend :lmao: It's autumn here and the warm weather is leaving us, so we've started packing some warm weather gear and the super cold stuff like gloves that we won't use here in winter anyway. My kids are still on Easter holidays and go back next week. Then it's ten weeks til DS & I fly out (the day after school finishes for the term). My DS1 is also going to ski camp the day we fly out so I need to be super organised well in advance. And of course, because it's mum going away I have to leave meals in the freezer, a clean house, bills paid etc... :rotfl:

I have everything booked for our Seattle and his suprise bonus week in SoCal. Now time just has to tick over...
