Frozen Ever After LIVE reports!

Ugh, I was hoping they wouldn't be sporting those creepy, cheap looking projected faces. At least the meet & greet house turned out really cute..makes me want to go back to Norway.

Let me clarify, I don't think the quality looks rushed I think the ride feels rushed. But again the ride may not translate well over video, since all the in person reports seem to be very positive.

I understood what you meant. I actually don't disagree. Its just that your post gave me the opportunity to comment on the long construction times of everything disney...

I think it looks great and I wasn't particularly even interested in it! It looks a bit nostalgic somehow, like a classic Disney dark ride.

I'm getting the Peter Pan's Flight "feels" from the video and that's a good thing!

That's exactly what DH said, that it feels like Peter Pan's Flight.

I am so surprised to see so many people commenting that it looks disappointing or lame!! I'm not a Frozen fan really (don't hate it but don't love it) and wow even just from the video this looks so so amazing! The animatronics look good, yes it seems Anna and Elsa have the projected faces in a few of the scenes but they appear well done (nothing like the bride in the attic scene of Haunted Mansion in DLR) and their movement is fluid and realistic. The ride definitely focuses on physical sets and only uses the screens to accentuate the ride, and gosh I just think they did a wonderful job. :cutie: It gave me all of the magical and happy feelings.

I'll echo what some have said: great looking AA's and set pieces, but there seems to be a lot of dead space between them. Basically, it's Frozen's greatest hits (sort-of) live.

Still think this would've worked better in Fantasyland.

Funny you say that, because the "Greatest Hits" thing reminds me of the Little Mermaid attraction in new Fantasyland. Maybe something's lost in the video.

Its new and will be here for a long time...did anyone see an easter egg? wondering if there is a random Viking or troll (not the rock trolls) from the Malestrom? i.e. Mr Toad handing the deed to Owl picture in the many adventures of Winnie the pooh ride formerly Mr Toad's wild ride...

Kenny the Pirate's video in HD is really good, on his facebook page and kennythepirate.com . He was one of the first ones on the ride this morning.

We had a 8:20 breakfast reservation. Paid when we sat down, stood up at 8:55 and walked on the ride. Literally when we walked out the line was past Mexico. I videoed the line (no idea how to upload on here) but I have never seen anything like it. We rode the 2nd or 3rd boat with the imagineers and I was excited for them. I feel terrible for the people waiting but that breakfast was the best I've ever paid for!!! The family that was seated right before us apparently didn't pay early and we saw them waiting on our way out of the park by Mexico. Must eat and go!

This was at Akershus, right? We had one for Garden Grill that I was excited about, but I may need to jump ship to Akershus. My husband will not wait in a long line for this. :(

Just got to the line for our "fastpass." The ride is closed and the FP line is to the China pavilion. Standby by line closed. Pretty disappointed .. We have a dinner rez in MK at 6 and today is our last day. Also they did not do a soft opening - we checked last night and our Akershsus server said they weren't doing a soft opening. I think it's ridiculous that they didn't properly test this ride before opening day, and now I've given up three MK fast passes to stand in an hour-plus line for a ride that may or may not be working.

Yes you must switch and you literally must walk out of the restaurant before 9am. The other better alternative is get an 8:45 reservation and eat after but still get into park early. Akerhaus was not organized at all about who they sat when. So literally they sat us in the order we checked in. If I had a 8:45ish I would have entered the park at 8:20-8:30, rode the ride then checked in right after.

This just dawned on me. This will prove to be a very popular ride for some time. Sadly it is in world showcase and won't open until most days at 11am and also again closes at 9pm most nights even during busy times.

I wonder of this will cause a change to hours.

Also if breakfast priority seating wasn't already hard enough to get. Imagine now.
They have hours of 9 am to 9 pm

I believe the puffins from Maelstrom survived the retheme...

Looks like there is only an 8:25am that day, but that should work since we don't really care about the princesses. My husband wants to just pay the $20 no show and go get in line. :rotfl2:

From the video it looks like a visually impressive dark ride. Which is nice, but to me it doesn't have a wow factor. I think it may in person though, so I'm reserving (most of my) judgment.

Like others have said, it feels like a ride through highlight reel instead of a ride with a storyline. I think we knew that's what we were getting though, so I'm not disappointed just not blown away just yet.

One of the videos posted in this thread shows the queue and there was what looks like a little Norway troll in part of it.
