What's up with THAT?? My Weatherbug just gave me an alert, FROST ADVISORY for tonight, low in upper 20's.

Hey, it's May already.

WOW!! Wish we had some of that cool weather down here. It's in the high muggy 80's with thunderstorms again tonight. Send some of the cold to me!!

Sorry your expecting frost. We have beautiful weather today. It's around 75 degrees.:sunny:

Yes, unfortunately, it's gonna be real cold tonight.

Have to remember to take in my potted plants.

herc.

That sounds pretty chilly but I think the frost warning isn't lifted here until May 15th.

I think that's why most garden centers will say don't plant until after Mother's Day in our area.

I can remember several times heading out even after Mother's Day to cover tender, young plants/flowers from frost.

I'm so ready for real spring/summer weather. I'll think I'll head down to WDW to find it (just counting the days :teeth: ).

Yesterday it was rainy, windy, and cold here. Today the Sun is shining and it's nice and warm.

Don't feel bad Dan, we're still getting the occasional snow *shower*......had some again last night! LOL

In fact, I should go out and take some photos of the PILES of snow we still have..mostly along the roads, but a few houses here still have some snow in front of them.

When WILL it end? :p

Yup, we have the frost warnings here too! I am soooooooooo ready for it to get warm and stay that way for awhile!

You have got to be kidding me, right? :p You have already been in the 80's this year, and have highs in the 70s and mid 80's again by the end of the week and you're complaining about the COLD!? :earseek: I'd be getting out the shorts and preparing to celebrate, LOL!!! :teeth:

Haha... guess you could expect me to pop into a thread like this and try to make you realize that it isn't actually cold there, LOL. :p We've been below freezing pretty much every day, and we even had snow flurries yeterday. Planting season doesn't begin here until the last weekend in May so we don't get frost warnings yet because it's just assumed that there will be frost, LOL.

At the moment it is the same temp here in Winnipeg, and there in Chicago. The difference? This is the warmest it has been here in quite some time, as opposed to your coldest... so to us it seems like a decent day weather-wise! :sunny: This past week was especially gross here... I was wearing my winter jacket and gloves! The next week is supposed to be a bit warmer, but not nearly like yours... so on behalf of the citizens of Winnipeg... I think I will gladly switch you weather forecasts!

Dear Dan
I know what a kind and sharing person you are. PLEASE don't share your cold weather with us.
Thank you, in advance, for your cooperation in this matter.

Colleen

:p

Hmmm, now I know I won't be moving to canada any time soon. :p :teeth:

Dan, we're getting the advisory too. My lilacs and white spirea are already blooming, I hope it doesn't kill them.

Frost warning here in NW Ohio too. Was cold and rainy today. At noonit was 40 with a wind chill of 35. Turned the heat back on I give up on day on one day off. I don't like to be cold.

It's been a little on the cool side "down south" here, but 20 in May is too cold:eek:

Dan, Dan, Dan.....now you KNOW it is not summer here 'till 4th of July and over Labor Day! You cannot plant flowers until the end of June...heck, the 2 times we gave DD a new bike for her B-day (June) she is wearing her winter coat in the photos! There is no break between the furnace and the A/C and then back to the furnace. My computer says it's 39 degrees right now....yep, I can't get to Florida fast enough. One day it WILL happen.

Parts of Eastern Kansas too. I do not have my tomato plants in the ground yet. I hadn't planned on planting them until next weekend. I'm also a "Don't plant anything until after Mother's Day" believer.

Wow, we had record highs here again today...it was 99 degrees in my neck of Southern California. We've had to run the air conditioning several days this year already, we hit 101 late last month, VERY odd this time of year.

Weather is WEIRD. :p

I've heard of frost on the pumpkin, but never frost on the daffodils!
