That's good news about missing the major snow event!! Are you close enough to feel the earthquake this morning in the greater Chicago area?

I didn't feel anything and from what I read, no one in Michigan did, Illinios, Wisconsin and Indiana did from the article I read.

We already have about 6-8 inches of great packing snow here this morning...and 12 to 20 more on the way apparently!! LOL This is on top of the 22" we had last weekend.

Meanwhile, my daughter who is in Vermont at college, hasn't had any snow since Christmas! What's that???

Upstate new york, here. We haven't had any either - so far today we've gotten maybe half an inch. My skiing husband is whining about it.

Quick run down of the menus/ themes for the 05 cruise:

1st night: Let the Magic Begin (Bay Breeze was the DOTD - drink of the day)
2nd: Castaway Cay day - no theme and nothing special annotated in the navigator for a menu - just casual dress (Apple Madras)
3rd: Golden Mickeys - Formal Night (Yellow Bird)
4th: nothing special again, 2nd day at sea - (Bahama Mama) - Might have been the Mouseketeer night, I think it was since it was the Who Wants to be a Mouseketeer game show with Joey Fatone
5th: Tropical Night (Curacao) (Rum Runner)
6th - Start of the long stretch of sea days/ Canal crossing - nothing special (Caribbean Lemonade)
7th - Canal Crossing DAY!!!! Themed Menu for the crossing - was actually a keepsake (Panama Hat)
8th: Sea Day - Disney Dreams and Semi-formal Night (Cool Breeze)
9th: Sea Day - casual night (again) (Blue Hawaiian)
10th: Acapulco - Pirate Night (Tequila Sunrise)
11th: Sea Day - casual (Caribbean Sling)
12th: Mazatlan - the Bob Sagat night - where people were amazed the Danny Tanner wasn't that clean cut - casual night - I think this might have actually been the "mexican night" (Mariachi)
13th: CABO!!!!!! (yes I loved Cabo that much) second formal night (premiere of twice charmed) - (Cabo Siesta)
14th: Sea Day - Remember the Magic night (California Dream)

Jeff is taking the Navigators to work tomorrow to scan in. Hopefully they'll be up soon.

This is so helpful!!! Thanks so much!! Looking forward to seeing the Navigators! ;)

Our traditional Valentines meal is KFC and champage, but this time I have Rosa Regale for the 'champagne'.

Sounds odd for a valentines meal, but DH and I spent our first valentines day decorating our living room (we were in the middle of it) so we just grabbed a KFC take out and a bottle of champagne, and the tradition has stuck. :thumbsup2

I don't think it sounds odd at all! DH and I both worked at KFC when I was in high school and he was just out of high school and going to the local junior college. Even though we knew of each other prior to that, we really didn't know each other. Once we started working together, we became great friends and started dating a year later. Another year later, we were married and that was over 14 years ago! Anyway, I was just starting college and he was still in college so needless to say we were usually broke (we were putting ourselves through). There were a couple anniversaries in the beginning that we really didn't have the extra money to spend so we would go to KFC since that is really where it began for DH and I . Now, every once in awhile on our anniversary we just go for old times sake!

OHH - another Rosa fan. LOVE that - I got a bottle for Christmas that I have yet to open. And, what an awesome tradition. Maybe after 30 years, I will try to start a tradition.

Pick up the KFC chocolate cake then, it will be DEVINE with the Rose Regale, the best sparkley to co with chocolate!

Last cruise...in the stateroom....noshing on a PLATE of chocolate coverage strawberries from our head server...and guzzling Rosa Regale....PURE HEAVEN! :cloud9:

Hi Group,
We will be on the cruise too. Me, DH, DS 11, DS 7, DMIL & DFIL.
I've already started the planning.
I just used miles for our air to Orlando! One thing checked off! :rotfl2:.
Next is Hotel at WDW for 4 nights and Hotel near the port for 1 night.

My DH thinks I've lost it! I keep reminding him the air was only $10 for 4 to cross the country. :woohoo:

looking forward to meeting you all!

Yes, welcome Holly and Steve. I joined this group just a couple of weeks ago and it is a great group!

We aren't getting snow here, but it sure is cold. Well, cold for us Southerners! It is in the low 40s and it is supposed to rain tonight and tomorrow. So just cold rain! It's been cold and dreary here seems like since December with just a few warm days sprinkled in. We usually have mild weather with just a few cold days during this time of the year and this almost constant cold is getting old!!! I'm sure a lot of people would love temps in the 40s right now! But, we get the HOT and HUMID summers. However, it's usually 4 months into that type of weather before I get tired of it. All it takes is one cold spell and I'm begging for summer!
:goodvibesSummer, what is that again? we never had one last year!
For valentines hubby is going to make chocolate strawberries and a Miami Vice!

Was it you that scared them off? :rotfl2:

Some people believe they have gone to Oregon for the winter as the population of seal lions up there has swelled this year.

Welcome Beth & Family

It will be nice to get to know you in the run up to the cruise!

Welcome to all the new people. We do not do Valentines or any other day that we concider "greating card" holidays. In the case of Valentines I have alwas thought if you have to show how much you love someone on one day out of the year, do you get to be mean to them the other 364 days of the year (or 365 days if it is leap year). For my DW I treat everyday like Valintines day. I think that it the way to do it.

Mmm, sounds lovely :thumbsup2

Rosa Regale is my fave wine ever, and I first tasted it in Italy at Epcot, it's delish ::yes::

We can't get Rosa Regale very easily in England, hubby had a couple of bottles shipped over from Ireland for me for Christmas - I was thrilled with it

Did you get it onboard ? or did you bring it with you ? Apart from cocktails, we usually drink Asti or White Zinfandel

We don't 'do' Valentine's Day either. The highlight of Valentine's Day for me will be watching a new episode of 24 (we get it on a Sunday over here)

Have a lovely Valentine's Day guys

Valentines Day is not meant for single persons. Nothing different, just another day on the calendar. But it's also Chinese New Year. I'm not Chinese either. I can eat Chinese food though.

It sounds as though I've been missing something good! ... Can someone describe it to me?

We are in the midst of our fourth major snowstorm here at the Jersey Shore, so I can't wait for this cruise! A Konk Kooler is certainly calling my name.......

I'm single, but given I'm in Taiwan I'll be Chinese New Years-ing it up :-) Plans TBC. Yesterday it hit 28.8 degrees celcius (83.8 F) - some winter! I'm jealous looking at all the beautiful snow pictures of my friends in the US :)
