Welcome new people!

Other than the Dry Erase board group, the general FE announcement is on hold until September, when the final payment is due and the group members are more stable. hmm, that doesn't sound right  - but you know what I mean - until there are fewer families coming and going.

Nobody told me we had to be stable to go on this cruise!! :dance3: What to do now....

Hi Everyone! I was on this thread awhile back when the cruise first opened up, but I've been absent lately due to total chaos in my life ; ) With the holidays, and then WDW for New Years Eve, my first 7 night DCL cruise, and then we moved into a new home literally like the day we got home from the cruise on January 9. Oh and I'm now in my last semester of graduate school...so needless to say it has been a busy time! I'm so ready to get back onto this thread and to get to know you all more!

Did I miss any big announcements? Anything that I should be signing up for like tshirts, Fish Extenders, magnets, meets, etc, or are we doing that later this year? Just want to make sure I'm up to speed. Thanks and looking forward to talking to you all much more!

-Nicole

You sure have been busy but good luck with that last semester and pop in when you can.

Hi everyone. After reading many many pages and following along I realized that I had not chimed in and said we will be joining you. My DH and I did one Disney Cruise in late 2008 and he always wanted to see the Panama Canal so we booked when it first came available. I can't wait until its time to go.

:welcome: Glad to have you aboard. Grand group - but you already knew that didn't you??

Stable?? I am afraid I am as stable as I could possibly be.

Fawn - I am in the same boat as you - good thing it is the Wonder!

OK - lunch time. I ate my sandwich already (just a few minutes ago) but that is out of the way. I do have to walk down to the post office and bank - glad it is sunny and not snowing.

:welcome:To all of our newbies.:welcome:

Just thought I would let the Newbies, as well as anyone else that is interested, we can still use a few people in our Dry Wipe Board FE group. If anyone is interested just PM me.:thumbsup2

What is "dry wipe board FE group"? This is the first time I've participated in a cruise meet group, so this is all new to me.

Thanks!!
Kathy

I used to show horses. I did the jumpers and the 3-day event. If anyone ever saw the movie Something to Talk About. It came out in late 90's the grey horse was mine. Thinking about doing FE not sure.

I think you can let it 'rise' and 'baked' your way through it...:rotfl::rotfl2:

That sounds like too much work!

 Aww, I hope you're feeling butter real soon :rotfl::rotfl:

Thanks it's always better with butter

I have a new experiment with my sourdough bread and buttermilk. I'm waiting for it to finishing rising, then I'll take the loaves to my children's schools for the teachers to enjoy at lunch time. I have yard duty anyway, I may as well off load some bread to the unsuspecting teachers. :rotfl:

Issues I'm telling you, serious issues. :rotfl2:

For those of you who love Rosa Regale, Disney has another wine that they had produced just for them called Magicale Brachetto. I had it at Citricos. It's only made for Disney but it's similar to Rosa. Try it next time you're on any Disney property (WDW or DL).

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to share this (in a weird way, it's a funny story)....

The PC cruise will be my family's and my 3rd Disney cruise. We have the motto for this PC cruise "3rd time is a charm". The reason why is because on our first Disney cruise (last July 2009), my husband broke his foot the DAY before we left for our cruise, so he had a broken foot all during our cruise. We made the most of it, as there really isn't anything you can do about it.

So, when we booked our cruise that we just got back last week (Jan. 30 - Feb. 6), we were so excited to finally go on a Disney cruise without any injuries!!

We left for our Jan. 30 Disney cruise, we're all healthy, injury free... we were SO excited. But, believe it or not, on the half-way point of the cruise, (Wed. Feb. 3), I somehow missed a step going down the inside stairs of the ship (and I was wearing flip flops) completely twisted my foot, heard a "pop" in my foot.... and I ended up in the ship hospital for an hour! I didn't break a bone, but I tore a ligament in my foot! I must say, though, I was TOTALLY impressed by the ship doctor, and just the whole Disney staff. They were all completely amazing.

(Siince I've been home, I've had an MRI, and I have a complete ligament tear ... basically a grade 3 sprain.... not fun. So, I'm in PT for 12 weeks now).

So, we just couldn't believe it... first cruise, my DH breaks his foot day before, 2nd cruise, I tear a ligament in my foot ON our cruise.... SO we are hoping the saying, "3rd time is a charm" is TRUE for our PC cruise!!

For us, the PC cruise will be an injury free cruise!! :)

I will say, I'm very thankful for trip insurance!!!!! That ER bill on the ship was not cheap! But, it was 100% covered by the trip insurance. And, I'm a very fit and athletic person, so me of all people never dreamt I'd injure myself on a cruise ship of all places, but you just never ever know!!

Ok, just had to share.... :)

My DH and I are laughing about all of this now... it is kind of ironic, huh?

Does anyone know if Guest Services will be able to get our passports stamped in any or all of the ports on this cruise? I heard rumors that they could do that, but I gambled that I could do it on my own on my last Eastern cruise and I ended up not being able to find a place to get stamped in St. Martin, and I inquired about it at GS and they said they do that but that I would have had to have dropped off the passports by the night before. I was so bummed that I didn't ask them earlier until it was too late. So, I don't want to make the same mistake on this cruise! If anyone has done the passports at GS thing and can share advice, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

We're big MotoGP fans too Lynne, hubby's fave is Valentino Rossi. We're also mad on F1 too, and can't wait for the new seasons to begin :thumbsup2
Us too, he is truly amazing, some amazing rides from him,we have also been to gp at silverstone, now that made the hairs on the back on my neck stand up, the noise was incredible, what about that old got miky shumi coming back?

welcome to our lovely thread
Can one be stable if one has maniacal bread issues?

Katherine
ehhh:confused: NO

I can't wait for the F1 season to start. I love Michael Schumacher, so I think it's going to be an exciting season with Jenson, Lewis and Schuey ~ bring it on !!

Rossi cracks me up, he is so full of himself, but you can't help loving him :thumbsup2

Jen - thanks for posting the menus - planning on wardrobes shall commence immediately after I get a handle on DDs riding clothes for this season! She shows horses and I am working on color/fabric selections. No doubt sounds funny to those who don't show.

Getting so excited for this cruise!!
Just a FYI, I would not plan wardrobes off of the 05 cruise. The 08 cruise was very different. Yes some of the special nights were the same (Mexican, Let the Magic begin, mousekater, tropical) but some were different. One that sticks out that I hope they do not repete in terms of menus is the taste of Califorina. No one at our table of 8 liked this menu. Also I beleive as the cruise gets close you can call and they will be able to tell you what night will be what. I know this cause people did call in and post this and it was right. Just a thought. I did not want to bust any plans, just thinking it maybe premature that's all.

Never have done, but if they CAN do it, I'm interested!

I'm pretty sure we had the taste of california in '05 (or something very similar - the food might be different, but the idea the same).
I agree, don't plan off of '05, but it's nice to know what Disney has done and that nothing is repeated....

Hello again fellow cruisers :)

I am trying to get through all 230+ pages (up to 100 so far!) so that I know who the heck everyone is, lol. So far there have been some interesting conversations and debates...for the record:

-I know NOTHING about sports, baseball included, I will root for whoever someone tells me to
-I grew up watching Star Trek with my dad, because of this (and my age) Picard is my fave...not to mention he is a wee sexy old thing ;)
-I love the Star Wars movies- though I am partial to the 4-6 episodes. On a more personal note, I am known as the movie maven to all who know me, I am a walking IMDB, regularly see 50-100 movies in the theaters a year (117 is my record in one year!), and have an extensive DVD collection comprised of movies form all decades and all genres :)
-I will someday work for Disney if it kills me
-This is technically my 3rd Disney cruise (took the Big Red Boat in July 94)
-I own cats...3 of them, but have found a recent appreciation for canines, and think your beagles are adorable :)

Ok, that's enough boring stuff rom me for now! Cheerio!

Holly

P.S. Very interested in the zip line discussions but as there are still 100 plus pages to go I will wait to see how things have changed.

I don't think so, I would have remembered something that bad. That taste of California menu really sucked. If they do it again this time, I just may have to eat at Pluto for dinner, and I hate not going to the dining room for dinner.

You and I should get along well. I go to see a least one movie a week. Unfortunatly nothing is grabing me this week but I still may see something. Three things to remember about baseball, the Dodgers rule and the Yankkes suck and the Giants should be done away with. I grew up with Next Generation, but while Picard is talking his way out of the mess my boy James T. would have already blown them out of space.
