Thought I would try and clarify a possible misunderstanding. The dry wipe boards will be given as a FE gift, one to each stateroom, by the group that contacts me. We, as a group, will design, order and pay for the boards. If we have extras it will be up to the group as to whether we want to give more than one to a stateroom or not. If you would like to be part of the group you can contact me and I will add you to the list. We are fast approaching 15 people/couples and I think I will try and put the cut off at 20. We will definitely take anyone from across the water that wants to be a part, though. :)

Carol

Hi Carol, thanks for organising this! We're keen. I will PM you my email address. Just a quick question though, I remember once expressing interest for a group FE exchange for us international cruisers. I think perhaps tinksmom was co-ordinating this. Is this something that is separate to that? Or has it morphed into the one group FE exchange?

This is different. I have done these boards before and my friend MommaluvsDis wanted to do them again so I said I would coordinate it and because of the cost it almost has to be a group effort. Welcome aboard. :thumbsup2

FE Exchange is another one of those things that it was suggested we hold off on until final payment is made due to folks coming in and out. So tinksmom is probably waiting until then, also, to get organized.

I just don't like to fly period. So I fly exclusively Southwest, if I have to fly, one reason we canceled the transatlantic.

Lynne, did I remember to say I loved your Switzerland photos? How was the skiing? Where and what did you eat?

I will give a example of why I really don't trust anything built by Airbus. The masave new A380. Did you know that each of them has problems. Some are just the sensors that transmit things to the computers, but a few months ago Phillapines Airlins grounded two of theirs due to very small cracks in the wings. This is due to a flaw that they never tested for.

You sure about that airline name?

And while I also prefer Boeings, I'm pretty sure the accident record doesn't bear out any safety difference between the two manufacturers.

Hey Everyone! I just booked this cruise yesterday for myself and my two daughters....we're in cabin 8036. Ashleigh will be turning 20 on the cruise and Samantha will be 21 the week after the cruise!

Please save me from having to read 100+ pages...what have I missed?? :rotfl2:

Is there a meet and greet arranged?

Any college age kids signed up? Our Magic cruise last week had about 20 kids from 18 to 23 that met up, and they had a blast!

Is there a Fish Exchange going?

How many people have done this cruise before? We've been on the Magic 15 cruises, but never on the Wonder...they are pretty much identical except for names, right?

I will run off now to visit the site that was set up. It seems very impressive so far!! Just wanted to say Hey! :woohoo:

I will take my chances with any aircraft, considering I do about 25 thousand miles a year in my car, thats probably way more dodgy, but I admire your loyalty Alan. Talking of flying did I tell you guys I read the auto biog of "sully" great read and that was an airbus If I mind corect.

Welcome Joanna.

We did this cruise in May 2008 and loved it so much we just had to do it again!!

Not sure about the college age kids, we are just an ageing(in years anyway!!) couple, so really haven't noticed the ages of the children.

There will be a Fish Extender group, but I think the person organising it is waiting till after paid in full date to do so.

You can order lanyards and join a Secret Mickey group via the website I believe.

No meets and greets arranged as yet as far as I can remember. I'm sure there will be though.

The Wonder and the Magic are the same style ship decorated differently. Both are beautiful.

I am sure others will fill in details for you. We are all excited on here.:dance3:

Welcome Fawn and daughters. We did the 2008 WB PC cruise and are doing this one with our friends. We did the 11 night Southern Caribbean in 2006 on the Wonder and the PC on the Magic. Both are great ships. Decorated a little differently and dining rooms, etc. have different names but everything else is the same. You will enjoy it.

I just got off the Magic yesterday and had a Great trip with my friends Monica and Cheri. We dubbed the cruise "The trip of the handsome men"..........for example......

....see what I mean?

Actually, there is one big difference between the Wonder and the Magic now, since the Wonder has had the Cove Cafe/Overlook bar area completely redone into a two story adult lounge. All in preparation for those Alaska sailings. As I spent a good deal of time in Cove Cafe last week I am really looking forward to being on the Wonder next year.

.

Hey everyone! Welcome to all those that have joined! DH and I took a last minute 4-day on the Wonder, and just got back on Thursday, so the last couple of weeks have been a little crazy. We had a great time, and are looking forward to taking the Wonder again in January! :cool1:
I just wanted to drop in and say hello! Have a great day everyone!

I not a great flyer but I know I have to to get to travel like the PC or a TA or Hawaii. My Dad worked for Boeing so I am patial to them. We also looked into the TA and it would come out even with Us or a little cheaper to do the PC. The cruise was about $2000 cheaper but add air and hotel of 2 nights and the fact that Castaway Cay only is about 4 hours verses made the choice for me.

Hello everyone!
I just changed our March '11 cruise over to this one! :cool1: We wanted to book the Panama Canal when we booked the March one (on the Magic last month) but we didn't think DH could swing that much vacation time at once. However, he discussed it with them and they said that they can probably do it. We won't know for sure until late spring/early summer but they sounded really positive about it. I'm worried that the prices of this cruise will go up so I wanted to go ahead and get locked in. We are booked in a GTY 11B. The only other cruise we've been on we were in a Cat 9. I hope I'm not disappointed in the inside but all that matters is that we're on the boat!

We were going to be celebrating my birthday at Disneyland prior to the March '11 cruise and then both of the kid's birthdays would fall during the cruise. Plus, we were meeting up with some friends we met on the Dec cruise. However, we feel like we can't pass up on cruising through the Panama with Disney. The Panama was our first choice anyway. So glad it looks like it's going to work out! :goodvibes

DD will be 11 and DS will be 4 when we cruise. Both of the kids said they would be willing to trade in having birthdays on the cruise and time at DL for a longer cruise! Never thought I would hear that out of DD as she is a Disney Park nut like me. However, I think we were ALL bitten by the DCL bug in Dec! We can't wait!!! DD is disappointed that she won't be seeing her new friend though but she understands the opportunity that we have.

BTW, I am interested in doing the FE exchange and the certificates. Sounds like all that stuff will be organized as it gets closer to the PIF dates.

My bad Jeff. The pilot that gave me the info was from Singapore Airlines. That was my bad. As much as you may be correct about saftey records and such, it just boils down to this, I don't trust a computer that much. I want my pilots taking off and landing the plane not a computer. Also to all the new people, Welcome to this very fun group.

That'll teach you to post at 3am :) Singapore makes much more sense.

Funny you say that. I am usaly much more awake at 3 in the morning than I am right now.

We as a group, now hold 8.21% of the available staterooms. I've got a good hunk of the updates done (The list is at least current) and will be working on the room map and pictures later. I had a minor emergency home repair to do today that killed my free time (Garbage disposal sprung an internal leak so I had to replace it).
