I had not yet been assigned a stateroom. I was booked into a Cat 6A GTY - all Cat 6As have a solid wall verandah I was told.

Perhaps you can just switch your stateroom category to 6A GTY?

I am celebrating my birthday but it will be a late one as it is in Dec. Also saw the DVC points for GCH they lowered them! Have to wait till June for that! Can book AKL in 2 weeks!

After I posted that, I thought you might have me confused with Jeff but I was not sure. Well now that the points are out I need to get a 2 bedroom for 2 nights at Jambo House in two weeks. 50 points down the drain. I am going to try to get a value one.

Greatings from a very wet Disneyland were they reduced park hours by 3 hours. Disneyland now is only open till 8 insted of 11 and DCA is only open till 6 insted of 9. But the wet weather has given us this awesome rainbow

I guess the crowds would be less, though those arriving for the weekend might be a little annoyed at the shortened hours.

There was no one there. From what I understand the shortened hours were only for Friday due to weather. No rain again till Tuesday.

I had read DL closed early during the week also because of the weather. Seems it has been very bad over there, so am pleased for you all to have some respite from it.

Well durring this time of year, they close at 8 Monday-Thursday so I am not sure if any hours were affected or not. Anyway I wish it would rain more, yes it is good to have a break from it, but we really need it.

That is what the Floridians were saying last year, and we were there for when their wish was granted!!! It poured for 2 weeks almost non stop - we had 12", and scary thunderstorms too. Some areas had a whole lot more.

Happy Saturday everyone! I hope you all have some fun activities scheduled for your weekend along with those dang house chores that never seem to end. My second load of laundry is almost dry, DH did the dishes and is ready to make some sausage (or experiment at it anyway). Should be an interesting activity.

We are supposed to get some rain later today, or freezing drizzle. I am glad to hear that it has stopped pouring in CA though, hopefully you can get out and about before more arrives.

Hi everyone!

It's finally a sunny day here in Southern California! We are up and about..going to get out today.

Today is the start of Girl Scout cookies time here for us so we are going to head out to try and sell some cookies! My daughter's goal is 1500 boxes so she has alot of work to do!

I hope everyone has a terrific weekend! We are heading over to the park on Monday to start celebrating my DD birthday week!

We had a navigator's verandah on the Magic and loved it. We didn't find the room dark at all because of it, and the openings on the Wonder are bigger.

For many years, this was our favorite category type. DH thought it added to some privacy on the balcony. Only in the last 2 years has he decided we like cat 6 better. We never found the cat 7 too dark and would not hesitate to book one again.

Thanks for the positive reviews of the cat. 7, we really wanted a verandah, but couldn't make ourselves pay the higher price for a cat. 6 or 5 so when this one popped up we snagged it.

We finally decided to book a 2 bdrm unit in the VGC for 2 nights after the cruise, we figured by then the washer/dryer may come in handy.

It's finally a sunny day here in Southern California! We are up and about..going to get out today.

No sun yet in NorCal, please send some up our way. I'm about ready to go for a drive to find some. We've had too many days this month without sun.

Saw Cirque du Soleil - OVO yesterday in SF, as always Cirque put on a great show.

OK I've done my part today to increase the post count to get us closer to closing this thread.

Hello all! Been busy organising our med cruise so haven't checked in for a while. While we're on the topic on weather, its been the other extreme over here. It was 42 degrees yesterday (around 107 F). Hope you're all surviving the cold ok!

42 degrees in Sydney? WOW! I can't even imagine, up in Cairns yes, but not down there... stay cool!

The weather's been a bit crazy lately. When the southerly came through last night, the temperature dropped 15 degrees in an hour. And today only a high of 25. Go figure!

Our poor air-conditioner had a great work out yesterday!

How funny! My ex-in laws just left the Anaheim RV Resort today for Arizona! they are going to be snowbirds in Quartzite
