I haven't had time to post at all lately, and I've only skimmed all the Star Trek/sports postings, but in case I don't get a chance again before I leave on Saturday I wanted to welcome all the new folks and wish everyone a great couple of weeks!

We're off to London for a week then Paris for a week (hoping to spend a day at DLP while we're there if anyone has any great suggestions!) so unless it's so cold and blustery we don't leave our flat I don't expect to be on much. I might check in once or twice just because I can, but I won't be able to keep up.

Take care, all and see you in a couple of weeks!

I loved Nemesis too!
And ST V was an insult... then again I loved the cheeziness of the orginal BSG and the awesomeness of the new BSG
Amen. I loved the original BSG as well. I own both old and new on DVD.
Peace, and long life!

Another Trek fan here....NG being my favorite series.

I enjoyed the latest movie....I wonder if it's out on DVD yet...wouldn't mind seeing it again. McCoy is one of my favorite characters and having him being played by Karl Urban (:lovestruc) really floated my boat!

.
Comes out 11/20 I believe.
WOO! Alan the shark! YOU're on your way to a CRUISE!!! :thumbsup2 Have a GREAT TIME!!!
I plan on it. I just hope my bar bill is not to high.

Anyone with the numbers 1701 in their screenname must be a Trek fan.

Just sitting at SSR at the Springs bus stop waiting for a EPCOT bus so I can go to Extra Magic Hours. Cool way to start a two week vacation.

Hey all! Just wanted to say a quick hello.
This is how its been here for the last few days

This isn't even normal for us. They are saying it might warm up on the weekend though, to a whole 50 degrees Fahrenheit. I am not ready for this.

:rotfl2: Sure.. you get the special pricing of paying 100% .. hurry..don't delay! This offer runs out soon.

In all seriousness..where did you work?

Tomorrowland Terrace Baby!! Of course it's not called that anymore - Tomorrowland is a whole new land!

Ok you lost me with the sci-fi speak. Not a fan. I do love William Shatner in the Priceline commercials. Does that count?? All I know is that if you are in the landing party - don't be the guy in the red shirt!

DHs cousin's family just booked today! They are going with us! Hopefully they will log on here and check in!

I have been away from my computer for a couple of days, so sorry this is delayed, but....

I too LOVE Star Trek Next Generation, particularly Picard and Data. I have to agree with the Borg as well. They are the coolest bad guys!! First Contact is my favorite with one of my favorite lines albeit by data and not picard - "0.68 seconds sir. For an android, that is nearly an eternity."

You know typing it really does not do it justice.

I like picard as well, but couldnt mind how to spell his name.

Kinda warm for scotland at the moment, everybody have a great day.

Oh, Sci-Fi! Don't know how this thread got started (didn't read back a few pages----just a little busy here at work;-) But I must chime in on LOVING Torchwood---I'll be meeting the chap who plays Ianto at the Hurricane Who convention in Orlando in 2 weeks!

My friend Meredith and I will be at Epcot for the food and wine festival from October 27th to the 30th and then go over to a mini-convention from the 30th-November 1st. This will be my 1st convention. I am sooooo excited!

I love all things Sci-Fi! I also love most British Telly! I'm going to London for a week in January---for my birthday:-) and 2 things I must do is see a Chelsea FC game (she sighs about her footie-mad husband) and a visit to the Who Shop in East Ham. I've never been to London in January----I just hope it isn't too cold.

Thanks for the Hurricane Who info. A friend of mine is in Orlando at the same time as the convention, and she didn't know about it .. well she does now and she's thrilled to bits to be going :)

:wizard: Good Luck at getting tickets for the Chelsea game

I just can't do it captain, i don't have the power!? :lmao:

It drives folks nuts at my work when I say it in a scary scottish accent.

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

I gotta say Simon Pegg as Scotty was a brilliant move.
Can I have a towel? No?

I agree ::yes::

Brilliant photos Mandy

Thanks Lynne :)

With the number of sci fi fans on this cruise, we could have a sci fi night!:rotfl:

:cool1:

Great idea (I wonder if I can fit my Borg outfit in my luggage:rotfl2::rotfl2:)

OMG, we had snow last October, and it was VERY depressing. I must confess that it is a lovely photo though. I hope it warms up for you soon :thumbsup2

I'm a Data fan too :thumbsup2

My favorite Next Generation quote?

Data's "Ode to Spot"

Yes, I memorized the whole thing.....................

You can test me on the ship.................

.

"Jean Luc, Blow up the damn ship!" is far and away my favorite. First Contact was absolutely awesome.
