I'm think the East meets West was the menu on the day of the Panama Canal crossing. They gave us those menu's, but I have just thrown them out.

I'm thinking a mix of dishes from Caribbean to Mexican.
Not sure apart from that if there was anything special about it at dinner time, though there were things going on for the crossing. There were coffee and pastries early morning up on the sports deck, a barbecue at lunch time and an ex PC pilot commentating throughout the crossing, which was excellent. Everything was shown on the big screen and on the in room TV's so you didn't miss much around and about.
We did have a Tropical Night when we were in the Caribbean and people wore tropical wear such as Hawaiian shirts for the men and anything tropical themed for the ladies. There were some very pretty dresses and mumu's(sp?) worn.
There was Mexican Night over in the Pacific where people wore everything from traditional Mexican wear to the ridiculous and funny party type gear. Many men bought the Mexican wedding shirts(John did) and the easiest thing for the ladies was embroidered blouses etc. Some actually bought something in a Mexican port. There was a Mexican Show that night. I also think they had a Mexican Deck party at some point.
Pirates was in the Pacific, but that could change of course. I think they called it Pirates NOT in the Caribbean!!
You don't find out your dining rotations until you get to your room these days. It used to be noted in initials on your key card, but not this last time anyway. Dining times have been 6pm and 8.30pm recently too.
