From WDW to DL With Love - January 06, 2011 part 3

Last evening I heard Jasmine barking and I knew something was wrong because it was not her usual bark. I went out in the yard, which is fenced in and there was a huge cat which I would guess was three times her size just crouched down stalking her. All of a sudden it took off and she started to run. It turned around and attacked her and she let out a scream that sounded almost human. I ran and grabbed her and started to chase the cat. It stopped on my patio and hissed at me. It is a wonder it did not attack me. It was the most wicked animal I have ever seen. It finally jumped on the side of my shed to the roof and out of my yard. Poor little Jasmine's heart was going a hundred miles an hour. Ever since I go out with her and last night with the flood lights on I was on patrol of my own yard!

Jasmine has been my lifesaver and no one is going to hurt her on my watch!

What is it about dogs the last couple of weeks - lost dogs and attacked dogs. So sorry your baby was attacked . Hope that cat stays far away from little Jasmine.

BTW, Jasmine is a name DD and I have talked about naming our next female dog. We have Cinder Ellie now. She was already named Cinder by the Humane Society and we just added Ellie, but had she not been named, she most likely would have been Jasmine too!

Alright I need to vent again. You know I think I have the only job in the world were people think it is alright to interup what you are doing. I will give two examples of what I mean that have happened in the last hour. First, because our system went down I was figuring out how much my flight weighed by hand. So I am sitting there doing math running the numbers and like four people tried to interrupt what I am doing. I tell them please wait as I am running some numbers for the saftey of the flight and I will be back momentarily. They did not like that answer. The other example is I am sitting in the corner enjoying my lunch (I am about as far away from our office as I can be right now) as I type this and already three people have interrupted me. I just tell them I am having my lunch and when I am done I will be more than happy to help them as the info you seek is not in front of me. That apparently did not go over well either. Sorry about the venting. I get people need info. but really disturb someone while they are eating in a coroner?

Alan, dont even get me started, I work a 44 and a half hour shift, I cant even pee in peace, they knock on the door to ask me questions, I cant type what I say now but trust me it would be ***** out. I feel your pain, folks are more and more like that these days, they want everything an hour ago.

We're on the TA as well. Leaving Thursday for BCN.

Thank you Charlotte. I'm not too good at going and chatting to crew members, but I am sure somebody will oblige. Glad you enjoyed the EB. I hope we have as good weather as you did.

Alan, dont even get me started, I work a 44 and a half hour shift, I cant even pee in peace, they knock on the door to ask me questions, I cant type what I say now but trust me it would be ***** out. I feel your pain, folks are more and more like that these days, they want everything an hour ago.

Every time I step in the restroom, the kids are banging at the door, trying to walk in, ect. And I say to them "Let me pee in peace!" DS likes to talk about the "Mickey Boat" while sitting on the pot. He think I want to do the same thing!

anyway, you expect it from kids, but not co-workers. You should do the same to them!

I lived in Alabama for over 20 years so I am a Bama fan but now in Florida I cheer for the Gators, when they play each other I pull for who ever is playing better. Oct 2 will be interesting. If they don't play better Alabama will be on the big screen in Aruba. I agree being a nurse is no fun at times. I rarely get a 30 min break and then people are calling my name. If I eat in the cfe families bother you if you eat in the breakroom staff are calling you but I just tell them just 5 min more please! Got my ME tickets for Oct Only 1 bag tag per person. Had to call DVC and order more tags thanks to SW our bags go free so I can take 2. For Jan when I give them our flights will let them know I need 2 per eprson.

I love your dog's name of Cinder Ellie. How clever. I named Jasmine before I ever saw her. Our dog before her died in my dh arms and he said no more dogs he could never go through that again. I cried all summer for a dog. One day I said "I want my Princess Jasmine!" He looked at me and said "Oh, no you have named her"! He gave in and we were both very happy. Since he died she has been my little life saver. I don't know what I would do without her. She flies on my lap and is not happy when I am out of her sight. I hope she doesn't get too mad at me while Ryan and I take this vacation. My dd will give her excelllent care!

I think you may be right. Looks like there is a really good chance it could be the Crimson Tide going up agenst us Buckeyes on that big screen at the Goofy Pool. I too had to order a second set of tags for our Oct. 11 trip.

We were on the Magic in November and Clayton had been promoted to Cruise Director. I am not sure if it was temporary...but he was sure excited!

Thanks for sharing that story, and THAT is what makes my job so demanding, it is not animals I am nursing ,it is family members

Thanks for bringing that up. I thought they always sent 2/person. I have responded to my emailed DVC ME confirmation to make sure to send up 2/person.

So happy you've had your Jasmine in your time of grief. And think how much happiness you bring her too! You need her and she needs you. What a special bond that forms. My Cinder Ellie and I have that bond too !

Is anyone have problems with the dis on Firefox? I keep getting Service 503 errors on my laptop and on my desktop, the font is extremely small, even though all other pages are fine. So, I try to Explorer. Well, Explorer on my laptop keeps locking up. So, I moved on to Safari. It doesn't have an undo button! This is my second attempt at this response because I accidentally deleted my first attempt!

We did put money on our onboard account before we sailed before, but I would have to look at the web site to see how we did it. The web sit is no where near as easy to use as it use to be!

When we lost our boxer in March we swore we were going to wait several months before we got another dog. I know how your DH must have felt, our boxer died on the floor beside me. It was only a few weeks before we were already looking and two months later we had our new fur kid, who also has a Disney name, Yensid, we call him Sid for short.

You know it never even crossed my mind that if 'Bama (huge fan here) makes it to another BCS Championship we'll be watching it on the ship. I really, really hope they have that game.
