If they do the cocktail mixology that's really damn fun (JEN)

But there's not a lot of space in that one.

You know, you could just see if they could (in tribute to the nickname of the Panama Canal) just convert one of the bars into the ditch :)

How do I get our family signed up for the gift exchanges?
I am so excited, but honestly working like a freak to pay for all this .... So I havent read the whole forum ...... oppps

Welcome SoothyMom and Family!

If you go read the first page, that will probably answer some of your questions! Because so many are doing the Fish Extender exchange, the list will be the same as the website list - with the participants marked in some way, which JEFF will determine - he being the all-knowing wizard of things web.

There is also an education thread, if you need it.

I was going to wait until after my PIF date to pop in and say hi but I just can't wait! I booked our flights to Orlando today so I feel like it is official .

This is going to be our first DCL cruise and it will be me, dh and two dd's (Kim, 36; Dave, 44; Olivia, 9 and Ainsley, 7). We are from Edmonton, Alberta and know I have seen a couple of other families post from here too .

We are spending 5 nights at WDW before the cruise so I feel like I am booking two trips at once and may go crazy in the process :headache::rotfl:. All of your posts (DIS in general) have been extremely helpful in my planning process.

TigFanJeff, thank you for creating the special website. I appreciate how much time you have put into it, amazing resource.

So who am I going to meet at all of the wine/beer etc. tastings????:thumbsup2

Welcome WillTurner family!

Would the Person responsible for the secret mickey group - please either post or pm your preferred method of contact and any information you would like in the first post! Some how, I missed you need blushing smilie here.

Welcome Will Turner and family! It will be myself, Tess and DH, David on this cruise and we will be going to a couple of tastings. We always seem to miss the tequila tasting, so I am determined to get there on this trip. DH loves the martini tastings, so we will surely do that one!

Welcome willturner and family

DH will definitely be at one of the Beer tastings, and we will be at one or 2 others we haven't fully decided though.
For some reason on the last cruise it was always scheduled the same time as something else :sad2:

I got my Palo question answered by my friend from DCL who called me so I just asked. The back room is for 12-14 people. He said if it nit being used on the day I go to Brunch just ask if we can be seated there since we are a party of 10. So we will see.

Did you not see my post about booking the room at Palo? Is it because you are a party of 10 you aren't going to bother?

Just as well I love you:rolleyes1

:thumbsup2:hug:

Yes I saw it. I was speculating as I am assuming all 10 of us want to go brunch. That nay not be the case. If need be I will follow up with my friend.

OK, just that you asked for any info.

And I thank you very much. I just figured since my friend gave Neva call because they want me to pick up something for them at DL, I would ask and get a "Official" DCL answer.

I'd be fairly certain with all the DIS Boarders that you could find a few fill in's if you didn't mind :)

Yes, we joined a group last minute once. I'm not suggesting by the way.:lmao: I don't think we will be doing any Palo on this cruise.

I'll also say, and this is entirely MY OPINION, that I'd rather be in the main dining area, even with a large group. For brunch, your running in and out anyway, and its as far from the food as possible. For dinner, you loose the ambiance of the open kitchen and the sweeping views from the back of the boat (Much better with an earlier dinner at sunset, but still....)

There are plenty of "private" and semi private dining experiences that Disney offers and this isn't one of the jewels. At least in my opinion.

Not on the boat, but one of the ones I'd just LOVE to try would be on the verandah of the "King" suite at Animal Kingdom Lodge!

Good Morning, Happy Cruisers!

Who else is staying at the Radisson the night before?

We have never stayed at the port the night before the cruise. i think I would like to try it sometime. Is the Radisson the best place? We usually drive down on the day and drop the car off at Budget and get their transfers. Do the hotel buses work well? We like to get to the terminal early.

Welcome to all of our new cruisers. My dh and I will be attending the wine tastings. Have never done it before so looking forward to checking it out. Two weeks today we head for the magical place for a quick weekend trip. So looking forward to it. Our house was hit with lightening a couple of weeks ago so having fun dealing with insurance stuff. Hope everyone is well!

Just a heads up for returning airfare. Continental has some good rates out of Ontario. ONT to Chicago is as low as $56 one way. The flights all have one stop and you still have to pay luggage fees.

I am considering them but I really wanted a non-stop and would rather fly into MKE than Chicago but the price is nice. Still waiting to see what the SW flights will be.

You guys have been chatty again. No surprises there.

Arrived back in the USA yesterday. Have emails to catch up on, laundry to do, a month's worth of mail to go through and what am I doing? Yes, I am catching up on the DIS :lmao::lmao: (Can you say addicted!!)

Hello all! In light of the recent strong Aussie dollar against the US, we are paid in full. Hurray! No backing out now...

Hurrah! Congratulations.

Plus, look where you live!!!!!

We should be flying back to Orlando but we are waiting to get the return flights from the UK first, then plan the West coast part of the trip to see where we fly from.

If you want any help or suggestions, just ask. We are plenty of us in California who can give help and suggestions.

Had to share my surprise with someone so who better then a bunch of people my husband does NOT know.....
I am surprising him tomm with a weekend trip to Vegas!!! His birthday just past and he has been wanting a weekend getaway for awhile now so VEGAS HERE WE COME!!!!!:cutie:

Hope you all had a great time! What fun.

Somewhere, back in the first thread maybe, there was a discussion about PC crossing certificates. I noticed in the cruisethread that there is a link to purchasing the certificates, was it decided that if we wanted one, we would order our own or are we doing them as a group? I can't remember what was decided,

I believe Kay offered to do a group order, but she is away in Italy at the moment.

I did offer to set up a group buy for certificates. I will start looking at that once I have settled back into real life. Probably won't send out an email about this until after PIF date so that numbers are stable. We can do one order with one additional amendment order (from what I understand) so the order needs to be right!

We have the DVDs we need for scifi night. And what we don't have in our house my brother has. We have Star Trek (movies), Star Wars (all), Doctor Who (all the new series and some of the classic), Torchwood, BSG, my brother has Red Dwarf and many many more.
I believe the DVD players are US only, but I could be wrong.

If you want some Stargate we have that. Also, not sci-fi, but mad british humour - Blackadder. Just shout if you would like us to bring some.

Oh, one more thing...Kay, did you get my PM way back in early July? I have been working on getting lessons for you, but I need some direction on where you want to go. I created a matter unit last year (designed specifically for CA 5th grade standards), that I would be happy to pass on to you. I also have a weather one, not to mention the MILLIONS of lessons we have done for Disney over the last two years (those all have an environmental focus)...Or, I can just send miscellaneous stuff. Just let me know what you need:goodvibes

~Melissa

Thanks Melissa, I did get your pm, but apologies, because I got caught up in our trip. Back home now and catching up. Will get back to you directly soon.

Good Morning, Happy Cruisers!

Who else is staying at the Radisson the night before?

I think I have a room at the Radisson (not sure now, I booked it months ago) booked for 2 nights before the cruise, but may just end up staying in our vacation home near to WDW. I would like to stay at the port just once, but it may not be this time. We will see.

Also :welcome: to all the cruisers who have joined in the past few weeks. Look forward to getting to know you all.

If you want any help or suggestions, just ask. We are plenty of us in California who can give help and suggestions.

Thank you.:thumbsup2

Welcome back. Hope you had a good trip. It looked like you got about quite a bit.

We're using Hertz and staying at the Residence Inn. Haven't done the Hertz drop-off before, but the Residence Inn is nice. :cool2:
