From WDW to DL With Love - January 06, 2011 part 3

I'm sure it's a minor glitch. Today was the excursion release date for Diamond level Castaway club members (those who have sailed 20times or more as concierge level guests). They have a private section on the site where they not only get to book, but get to see unique excursions that are only available to that level. Some of those leaked for this cruise are:

Aruba - The "Aruba, Jamica, ooh I wanna take ya" there excursion that includes a visit to a private beach where you will be seranaded by the Beach Boys.

Costa Rica - The unzip line tour - where you put on anti-gravity boots and ride the zip-lines backwards.

Cabo - The Cabo Wabo Wowbo adventure, where using top secret technology they have the ability to unwipe your memory at the end of the evening so you'll actually remember your visit.

Of course all of these excursions, and the existance of Diamond level Castaway club membership, is all very top secret. So please forget everything you just read.

Hi and welcome!! You need 10 posts to PM someone, but TigFanJeff has been so great about giving out his email so you could try and email him directly. Everyone is kinda on hold until the PIF deadline to make sure our #s are accurate, then things will get hot and heavy! Check pg 39 or 40 of this post as TigFanJeff gave some helpful updates

A couple more things:
Jeff, what is your email again so I can get you a pic?...it didn't work when I tried to PM it.
Jen, are you going to need help @ the port the morning of? I am an early riser and would be happy to provide any service needed.

Thanks Melissa, as of right now Linda and someone else (I can't remember who now) have said they will help at the Port. After PIF has passed I'll figure out what we'll need and pose the question again as to who wants to help.

I was going to wait until after my PIF date to pop in and say hi but I just can't wait! I booked our flights to Orlando today so I feel like it is official .

This is going to be our first DCL cruise and it will be me, dh and two dd's (Kim, 36; Dave, 44; Olivia, 9 and Ainsley, 7). We are from Edmonton, Alberta and know I have seen a couple of other families post from here too .

We are spending 5 nights at WDW before the cruise so I feel like I am booking two trips at once and may go crazy in the process . All of your posts (DIS in general) have been extremely helpful in my planning process.

So who am I going to meet at all of the wine/beer etc. tastings????

I am not sure I will be doing any tastings as I am trying to cut things out that cost extra as much as I can, man that made me feel like a major corporation, but still I am eyeing a Martini tasting. Just had a thought for all the Sci-Fi fans. We could do a group outing to see Tron Legacey. You know it should be on the ship and in 3D no less.

Welcome, happy to have you onboard. We have always enjoyed the tastings , especially the tequila tasting, and plan to enjoy them on this cruise too. See you there.

I got my Palo question answered by my friend from DCL who called me so I just asked. The back room is for 12-14 people. He said if it nit being used on the day I go to Brunch just ask if we can be seated there since we are a party of 10. So we will see.

Welcome! I'm Carmen and with me will be DH Jarrod, DD Haley (11), and DS Cameron (4). DH may be doing a wine and/or beer tasting. I asked him awhile ago if he wanted to but I don't remember what he said

Thanks for the warm welcome, I look forward to meeting you all in January. I am getting really excited for the excursions to be posted. Like most of you I got the teaser email and quickly scrambled to find nothing posted, ugh. Because we haven't cruised Disney before we get last chance to book so I hope we still have some good choices left, if not I will take my chances on a non DCL excursion - no way I am going this far, paying this much, not to get exactly what I want.
I still can't believe this is happening .
