ROFR Thread Oct to Dec 2025 *PLEASE SEE FIRST POST FOR INSTRUCTIONS & FORMATTING TOOL*

Can I ask about your specific motivation for doing this? Obviously you want a different home resort, but is it because of some negative experiences you've had?
Absolutely not. We LOVE AKV. However, AKV lost a lot of value to us when we went from a family of 3 to 5 (twins). So, value studio and 1 bedrooms are off the table. All the other room categories are easily booked at 7 months. I realize club level are difficult to book but that never appealed to us.

I gain multiple years on the life of the contract. My projection of AKV dues vs CCV dues seems to be heavily in CCV favor. However that’s all projection, could be wrong. This also makes CCV better SAP than AKV, which we like to stay at the different resorts.

We LOVE CCV and are planning a Christmas trip which you need to own to have a good chance to book.

I realize that both CCV studio and 1-bed are limited to 4, but ultimately we want two bedrooms stay, so I don’t mind this. Plus, that’s 2 1/2 years away since the twins are under 3.

CCV has had a dip in resale value. I got two very good deals which spurred all of this. I believe CCV has a more realistic chance in bounce back value vs AKV. That wasn’t a big factor, but something i did think about. Again, could be wrong. I think that’s it 🤔

Preferences aside, dues are cheaper and the contract has an extra 11 years on it compared to AKV.

I use the value studios a LOT, so I'm ok with the high MFs at AKV. But I'm thinking about doing something similar with my OKW(e) contracts. Selling and rebuying roughly the same number of resale at CCV, Poly, or BLT. Simply the lower dues on those resorts (plus easy access to MK) looks pretty good.

Cool. Our kids are both teens now and don't like sharing a hotel bed anymore, so the studios are going to be a problem for us as well.
What are the numbers for your two CCV contracts? (were they already posted?)
We are awaiting ROFR on ours, but I'm hoping we'll able to book a short, 3-night trip for December '26. Fingers crossed.

I got both AKV contracts at 113 per point. They had 100 22, 200 23 and 100 24, so on. This was for both 100 per contracts. So we definitely got our value out of them and to sell at $7 less per point doesn’t bother me.

Now CCV, I got a 100 point contract with points starting in 2026 for 115 per point with the seller paying closing costs!

The other CCV just closed, I paid $135 per point on a 175 per point contract. Paid no dues on 2025 points. So in June 2026 it’ll have 350 points. Matched my other CCV use year. We really like the June use year, so this worked well with the one we already had.

Yes I posted both of these to the dis board.
