Hi there!

SNA is closer to the resort then LAX. Usually it is more expensive but just depends.

Good luck! I hope you find a great flight!

Hi!
For our return trip home after the cruise, the airfares are about the same at LAX or SNA. SNA is closer to Disneyland. Anyone have an opinion about which airport we should use?

Thanks! :surfweb:

We live in Los Alamitos which is Orange County probably about 20 min from Disney and we like to leave out of LAX. That is our preffered airport for travel when we go on vacation.......but then again we always leave on red eyes so there is never really any heavy traffic at that time :cutie:

It does say on the site to check back at around 120 days out. So my guess is at 122 or 121 days out you will be able to find out.

I thought Platinums could BOOK 'em at 120 days? So they only get two days to decide which ones?:confused3 oye!

For airports, I like SNA  when the plane takes off out over the pacific and makes the turn, they sometimes go right over Disneyland, at least when heading for Vegas!

I paid off today, WOO HOO!

I thought about the villas, but we don't need laundry (will do at the Residence Inn the night before the cruise), and I've been instructed that cooking will be prohibited during this stay - so we don't need the kitchen.

I have stayed in an AKL room with bunk beds - it was very nice. I gather Wilderness lodge has a similar option.

Curiously, most of the deluxe resorts are listed as either having rooms with two beds plus a sofabed, or allowing a rollaway, so our options include Contemporary, Beach Club, Wildnerness Lodge, Grand Floridian, AKL and Polynesian.
Boardwalk has a daybed, but it's a bit small from what I hear. Port Orleans Riverside also has a smaller trundle bed. My guess is neither are good options for us.

So I guess I'll continue to contemplate the options :rolleyes1

I just remembered they now have family suites at one of the All Stars...it would save you some cash if you're just looking for a place to sleep. I believe they sleep 6 in 2 beds and a sleeper sofa, but don't quote me.

Usually out of SNA you will have a stop before you get to Iowa - LAX will have direct flights. There use to be a Disney Bus that you can take to LAX. I have not used it recently so I'm not sure if it is still going to LAX.
I guess the Disney Hotels could tell you if they have something & how much it will be.
I prefer SNA but will fly out of LAX to Florida for this trip - I want a non-stop flight.

It is closer to Disneyland, if your going. I feel & think it is cleaner! I also work right across the street.

We are also flying out of LAX, but prefer SNA, as we are doing a "red eye"- nonstop. :)

Yes that is exactly why we LOVE LAX the nonstop redeye flights to Orlando.
For this trip we will be taking a nonstop redeye out of LAX on Jan 1st.......the perfect start to what is sure to be the BEST start to a new year!!!

What day are you flying out of LAX?

We are flying Jan 2nd, we are going to stay in the port area, not sure where yet. And we will be going to NASA, St. Augustine, and just a shopping day.

Yep - that's a possibility. But while I have nothing against the value resorts (have stayed there before), I think we're looking at living it up just a bit on this trip. Right now we're leaning to the Contemporary Garden wing. Has anyone stayed there? :cool2:

We're also flying out on the 1st - from SFO. But not a red-eye - those are a bit tough. We should get in around midnight. :cool2:

We leave for Florida five months from today (8 a.m. flight - so we'd leave the house in a few hours).

I'm thinking you won't have any problems booking anything you want with being Platinum, but I do think that DCL should get their act together and get the excursions out earlier. It was the same with our TA cruise.

Well done on being PIF!!!

We will be last minute this time.

It has been over 10 years since I have stayed in the Garden Wing. I love them. As a matter of fact this is the only place my parents would stay. On another note, looks line the new ticket prices will not affect us right now. The Premier Pass is staying at 700. I am happy about that.

GOOD Morning, happy Cruisers!

Already 77 degrees at 5 am. Actually, it was 77 degrees with 89% humidity when I got up at 4 am. Since when did Florida move to upstate NY?

Good morning all. I just watched the new Tron trailer. Oh my goodness, this should be a great movie. I hope, and I can't see why not, they have it in this cruise. I will see it so much especially if they show it 3D.

I know, us too! We have a 7:55am flight with an 11:00 arrival. Can't wait.
