I'm sure that's just as bad as me not having air in the summertime in Texas. The first brand new car I bought, I had just turned 18 and was a senior in HS. Didn't have help from Mom and Dad and really wanted this particular car. Only way I could afford it was w/o air as they had deep discount on this car as no one wanted to buy it. DH (boyfriend at the time) said he would work extra to put the air conditioner in. It was well into summer before we could get the money saved up and I felt like I was melting every time I drove anywhere. It was a wonderful day when I had that cold air blowing in my face. For a couple of winters I did not even have heat in my car. I just made sure to take short trips and drive as fast as a rear wheel drive car can go over snow covered roads.
I remember being in Chicago on Nov 11th, and walking around downtown in a trenchcoat....passing by people in parkas, tuques (stocking hats for those non canuck) and dogs all kitted up in wool Chicago Bears sweaters...
DH has to go to Chicago this Nov. He asked if I wanted to go and I told him it would probably be too cold. Yep, sounds like I made the right decision. If it's cold for the residents, then I know I will be torture for me

Never understood curling. I will watch it during the Olympics and just don't get it.We have a favourite comedian, from Scotland, Danny Bhoy who does a routine on how curling was invented by the Scots and Canadians as a way to throw the garbage (trash) down the driveway without leaving the house, and then if the bag opens up....they created sweeping....

BTW, we only have 2 seasons in FL - Summer and January.![]()
Reminds me of a billboard I saw once: The 4 seasons of Texas - Early Summer, Mid Summer, Late Summer, Winter
