Hi All,
Wow, you have been busy! It's hard to believe we are getting so close. If I remember correctly, many of us commented about having to get through the summer and then things would really start to move...I know life is zooming now so I image the next few months are going to FLY by! So excited!!!!!!

You all had me cracking up last night over the weather conversations! I'm with Kay about the California weather...we don't have any! Especially in So. Cal. You can have the same weather in Dec as you have in June...the only real difference is how quickly it cools off at night. But, to be fair, there are disadvantages...I must admit that when you don't have weather you run into people who don't know how to drive in weather! When it rains here, the amount of accidents in ridiculous--You'd think we were driving in a Blizzard!

Do you all have any guess what the dining rotation will be? Is it just a repeat of the 7 night? I am already thinking about what night I want Palo on, but am unsure how things work with a cruise of this length.

Only been on one DCL. Does the menu at Palo change each evening of the cruise? If the Palo menu does change, does it match the theme night for that evening.

What other theme nights are there? On our cruise I remember Pirate Night and some other formal night with the Golden Mickey's. The rest was not that memorable.

Try to PM Alan he might be able to help you :rolleyes1 (wink, wink) (aan1701)

You can always buy shorts and t-shirts in Florida.

Jack has his first ear infection. Of course Jeff is out of town. It's going to be a long few days......

You can in Cali as well...in fact, by the time you get here in Jan they will be getting ready to put out the new summer stuff :laundy:
Sorry to hear about Jack and I hope he gets better soon. Little kiddos in pain is NO fun--for anyone:sick:

I hope you all are having a great day!
~Melissa
P.S. Lynne, I missed a few pages...what happened??
Why were you in the hospital

I've just made my way all the way through all the posts in this third thread. Everyone is very nice and there is a lot of good information here.

I wanted to introduce myself. My name is Jill and my husband and I will be joining you all! We are very excited about this specific cruise. The Panama Canal cruise is always been something I've wanted to do. We've been on the Disney Wonder and Magic before so we are not new to Disney but I don't usually post much.

I will be celebrating my 36th birthday onboard! I'm really hoping for Palo reservations that night.

I've PM'ed our info to Jeff for inclusion on the webpage.

I hope everyone has a great rest of the week!
Jill

If anyone wants to spend the holidays in Minnesota they're welcome to as well. Complaining about 80 degree weather...I think some of you still believe Disney has a bubble over the Magic Kingdom to change the weather! ;-) just kidding of course.

By the way I looked at the Wonder's progress for the last 12 hours, and it doesn't look like they went to Nassau, anyone have word on what they might be doin? Didn't look like they were at castaway either, but that's harder for me to spot (unless someone knows the lat&long for castaway?)

26.09271, -77.53223 per Google maps!!!

Welcome Jill!

Jeff is working on the website now, he's telling me the next big push to get stuff done will be tomorrow.

ok, i've been reading and i dont know what elses jeff could be doing (unless it's updating only)!! or is there another website besides:
http://www.wonderpanama2011.com/

someone said someting about subscribing - what's that all about?

are FE's going to be all (or nothing) or with so many will there be groups? and if not groups, is it still one gift per room (and that gift could be one small item or a few little items or one bigger or..)? or have i missed the point?

I just heard about this on the news as well as through Alaska Airlines, which is the main airline we use here out of Washington state. I know we won't be in Puerto Vallarta for 4 1/2 months, so there hopefully will be plenty of time to repair this, but I wonder if this is not fixed by the time we arrive in Puerto Vallarta if this will affect shore excursions and the PV Zip Line some of us are planning on??

http://www.guadalajarareporter.com/...87/27463-bridge-collapses-on-ameca-river.html

Alaska Airlines sent an advisory to their frequent fliers saying anyone traveling to Puerto Vallarta anytime soon that they'd allow them to cancel or change their plane tickets free of charge due to this. Alaska Airlines said that because of this bridge collapse, it has put transportation at a standstill in Puerto Vallarta.

I'm guessing Puerta Vallarta will make it a top priority to fix this soon because they probably can't afford to lose tourasim as a result.

I've never been to PV.... anyone know if this would affect us at all if it's not fixed by the time we get there???

Nope, not another website.. he'll be pushing the updates out tomorrow hopefully, but he has some surprises instore to spruce up the website and make it uniquely ours....

I can't wait to see it. Of course he has done such a great job, so this must really be special.

This should not effect the zip line tour. I know the bus goes the opposite direction for the bridge.

Hello to everyone. Hard to believe that in just a little over a week those platinum and suite people are going to take up all the reservations and shore excursions ;-) j/k. I made my first batch of fresh guac, and it seems to have turned out well. Which made me realize, I don't think i've ever seen Guac on the ship! By the way does anyone know if they do the sushi lunch like they do on the 7 day cruises?

I'm pretty sure I remember seeing guac in with the nacho fixings in Diversions.

They did have the sushi out in the seafood lunch on my 12 night Baltic cruise. I'm not crazy about it, though. It appears to be prepared in advance and left in the refrigerator long enough to make the rice icky instead of sticky.

Does anyone have any idea about what percentage of passengers fall into any given category? i.e. - how many platinum, gold, silver...

I seem to recall on the last PC cruise (before the new categories) them announcing that the majority of cruisers were castaway club members. But what percentage qualified at the higher tiers?

Excelent question. Well I will help you out. Me,DW, and my mom are Gold. Some of our friends are Silver, and two of our friends are first timers.

The Palo menu stays the same throughout.

On our '08 PC cruise we had 2 formal, 1 semi formal, Pirate Night, Tropical Night and Mexican Night. One of the formal nights was meant to be Ballroom under the Stars, up on deck, but it was raining and cold(1st sea day after Cabo when it started cooling down:confused:), so it never happened.

Of course things probably will be different, though Mexican is a good bet!

A week from tonight - I am so ready.

We've only cruised w/DCL twice ('01 & '03). I know we were considered CC members on the '03 cruise, but I don't remember being able to book anything in advance. Both were 4-day Wonders, so they weren't quite the "planning challenge" that this cruise is ;)

However, I was hoping some of you veterans could shed some light on how you have already put an itinerary together? I understand booking shore excursions in advance, but how do you know when you want to go to Palo or the spa? Birthdays, anniversaries...I totally get that. But for those w/out special occasions to celebrate, how are you pulling your itinerary together? Especially when we don't know our dining rotation, or theme nights?

Good Morning, Happy Cruisers!

There will NOT be a seperate FE list! Web Wizard Jeff will be marking the FE participants in some way on the website, so there will only be the ONE place to keep track of information instead of multiple lists. He will let us know when and in what form he wants the information.

There are some groups forming - you can see what's available if you go to the first post on page one of this thread. Some people (like me) choose to do one little gift per room. Some choose one little thing per person in the room. Some choose to join or form a group and do a joint gift. If you decide to form a group - post here or pm me, or both, and I will post it on the first post for you.

SUBSCRIBING - you can subscribe to this thread using the 'thread tools' tab at the top of this thread. Click subscribe. A new box will open asking you if you want to add a subscription. Click subscribe. Then, when you come on to the site, click the "user CP" link in the bar upper left, and if there have been updates since you were last on, the thread will appear. The advantage is - you don't have to 'hunt' for the thread.

Happy Day, all!

:welcome: Jill! Glad to have you joining our group. And you read the entire thread too? Way to go.

I don't get all that excited about the theme nights and I guess once I find out whatever, I can always change my Palo ressie. I just thought it might be nice to be in Palo when we left a port so I am going to choose Manzanillo for our Palo evening - unless of course I change my mind again.

Well, it is hump day - for me anyway. Middle DS and his wife will be up for the weekend but they will split their time between our house had hers so I guess Friday and Saturday nights I will have company.

Have a fun day everyone!
