I am excited about the toy story on the wonder, I LOVE the toy story.looking forward to the show as even the music is great.

I found my , oh I cant mind the name of them....Im tired, navigators last week, I was pouring over them, it got me all excited.

And your forgeting Kilts:woohoo:

You are right! I forgot Kilts... my apologies... :)

So we did it! We waitlisted for a cat 3(T, I think). Now just crossing my fingers, which am I hoping - depends on the day. I am guessing our chances are not very good considering the high cost of a cancelation, but we will see.

Here is hoping for some pixie dust! :wizard:

I thought Toy Story was great on the ship, but maybe thats because I'm biased and I LOVE Toy Story. I am super excited for Toy Story 3 in IMAX 3d later this month. Anyway, when I saw it on the Wonder last year, I enjoyed it, but as others have said, the part with Sid was a little drawn out IMO and creepy- I also hate the parts with Sid in the movie too. But since I know it all works out in the end I'm fine with it now ; ) If its on our cruise this time I'll definitely be going again. I really enjoy all of the shows. I do wish the comedians did longer stints in the adult clubs though. We loved two of them on our past cruise, but it was annoying that they only did like a 45 min show. Maybe since this cruise is longer, they will have repeat nights?

We have not seen it on the ship but love the movies. We get to see a preview of TS3 next week and can not wait!

I need some flight help. I dont normally book this far out, usually 3 or 4 months out at the most. But, I still browse in advance. I found $105 one way from PHL to Orlando nonstop, which I'm very happy with. But, when I do LAX back to PHL for January 23 or 24, the tickets are $800 one way for the nonstops! Am I missing something? Why is it this bad? I'm not totally freaking out because there are one-stops that are just under $200, but I hate connecting flights. Is it just that its so far out? I put in San Diego to PHL just for the heck of it, since I used to live there and never had outrageous fares, and it was $282- not great, but not $800 either! Why is LAX to PHL so ridiculously priced? I checked about 2 months ago and it was the same price, no drop...

We saw Toy Story on the ship last year and I thought it was ok. The most entertaining part of the show for me was the Cid character, the acting was excellent. I can understand why they cancelled it for DCA, it doesn't hold a candle to the Aladdin show, but it is still worth seeing. I will go see it again on the ship.

It's crazy. If we flew out of Las Vegas and connected in Phoenix it was $500. If I drove directly to Phoenix the exact same non stop flight to Orlando was $500 more! I hate connecting flights too, but saving $500 was a no brainer...

I checked my sites and it is the same thing. I am not sure why LAX is more expensive. Unfortunately, I have checked the other local airports and there are no non-stops available. Usually I go through LAX because it's a little less expensive. Sorry :sad1:

My friends at DCL told me that the reason Toy Story is not coming to California Adventure is due to less than stellar reviews on the ship. I might be seeing it in Oct, but given it's bad reviews I might skip it.
Will be interested to see what you think of it.

I will look forwrd to it.
I think they are included in my fav films ever "me me pick me" lol

I dont think they have repeat night.
I never went to many shows, always SO much to do.:dance3:
I enjoyed the golden mickeys.

Good morning all. Here in Los Angeles we had a earthquake this morning at about 2:11 A.M in the Santa Monica Bay. I went to the USGS site and it looks like the epicenter was not far from were I live. That would explane why I thought at first someone crashed into our apprartment building. It was only a 3.6 but it was a sharp jolt.

Glad it wasn't any worse Alan, though any earthquake would freak me out!!!

Honestly a 3.6 is not a big deal. I almost laugh at it. As a matter of fact once I know a car or something did not slam into the building and in fact a quake I just forgot about it. Nothing feel or moved.

What do you all do with suitcases? We managed to get one under the bed but the other was too wide. and with 15 days even with laundry we may take 3 between the 2 of us. so need advice for where to "store" them.

3.6 may not be much to you, but i'll be glad when DD gets on the ship and all i have to do is worry about rogue waves! LOL.

The only other place to store a suitcase is in the closet (if you want it out of site). Our suitcases fit insite one another so we can get them all under the bed.

I leave mine in the closet, I leave one partially unzipped and use it as my laundry hamper.

Well, I got a surprise this weekend. MommaLuvsDis and our daughter in San Diego have been after us to spend some time in California after the cruise but DH has been saying that he just cant do it because of work.

Saturday he surprised me as well as our daughter and said that he is able to carry over a week's vacation from this year so we can stay in CA for a few days. Since DD and family have season passes with blackout dates for DL they can't go on Saturday so we have made a tentative plan. We will get the shuttle to DL with MommaLuvsDis. Then go to DTD where DD will pick us up and take us to San Diego. Early Sunday morning we will return to DL, hopefully staying at the GCV for two nights. Tuesday we will return to San Diego to visit some more with DD and family.:banana::dance3::dance3:

I was really excited to hear this since I wanted to visit DL and the kids this trip but didn't think we would be able to because of DH's work. Things all seem to work out if you are just patient. :thumbsup2

We will get the shuttle to DL

What a great surprise!!!

Is the shuttle the DCL transfers?

Since we live so close to WDW and the port, we've never used Disney transfers/transportation. I'm counting down the days until we can try to book a room at GC. But wondering what is the best we to arrange transportation between port and GC/DL and then GC/DL to LAX. Do we arrange through DCL or DVC or both? Any non-Disney suggestions?

We have decided to just spend all our time at DL because I'm sure DD will love it and we want to see the new Nemo ride and any other changes they've made since 2005. So we will not be getting a rental car like we did in 2005. Plus it was a major pain returning the rental car at LAX.

BTW, I have to share one of my magical moments with you from 2005. When we got to DL to purchase a ticket we were wearing our PC cruise t-shirts. The CM was so friendly and we starting talking about the cruise, etc. and we mentioned that we had WDW annual passes. Well, she sold us 1-day park hoppers at CA resident rate. :goodvibes

The most entertaining part of the show for me was the Cid character, the acting was excellent.

The Sid part was the worst part to us. I love rock music but that song is just annoying! I thought for sure we would have to rush DD out of the theatre when that part started but she sat through it. Acting is good I just wish they would change the song or at least not play it so loud.

Does anyone know if you stay at GCV after the cruise, is there a grocery delivery service similar to Garden Grocer? We don't plan to rent a car, and I don't know the DL area at all...wasn't sure where the closest grocery or convenience store would be (if one would be within walking distance).

I wouldnt walk off-property, the area around DLR is not that great. Granted, the area around GCH is a bit nicer than the area to the main entrance, but still, not my cup of tea for walking around. One of the main reasons I pay to stay inside the resort to not have to deal with the immediate area outside. I dont have a problem driving around the area to get groceries, etc, which we'll do because we have a car, but I wouldnt walk.

There is not a delivery service as thre is in WDW. There is not a major grocer store within walking distance of the resorts but there are small convenience stores along Harbor Blvd.

You can walk to them but I am not certain of exactly the items you would find there. There is a local Vons grocery store not to far away and they do "deliver" food in California but am not sure if they will deliver to the hotel (if they did - I am sure you would have to meet them at the frost desk) but you might want to go on thier website and find out if that is a possibility.

Harbor Blvd. is busy all the time with people walking from the hotels .. most of the Disneyland area hotels are on Harbor and on Katella.

We used to store them in the closet until I read on here to store them under the bed. If you store them length wise (where the long part of the suitcase is the same way that you would lay on the bed) and slide them in from the end of the bed (you can lift the bed up a little at the bottom to make it easier) I seem to remember us fitting 2 large and at least 1 small suitcase under there. Another thing if your suitcase really is too tall or something is to stack the life jackets under the bed and use that top shelf. Hope this might help.
