Hello everyone!

I/we are new to the group. Have been on two other DC, one last May for 3 days and then one last Nov which was 7 days. Seems like it has years ago since we were there.

We are counting the days until we hit the high seas again for 15 wonderful days. We cannot wait!

Welcome aboard!

Welcome aboard! Rather blustery day here in Florida today. Glad I have to work. Don't like to work when the weather is nice. Water temps are getting there. I think the ocean is now a warm 72. Half almost paid 1/2 of the cruise off. 10 days I will be able to be more than 1/2~! Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Good Sunday morning, everyone!

Well our grandson Nate had a wonderful birthday party yesterday. Thought I'd post the finished picture of the swing set that took us so long to build.

Also, Nate's dad, my son Blake, and his friend made a train that pulls behind a 4 wheeler that was the hit of the party.

They took 2 55 gallon plastic drums, cut holes in them, strapped them to moving dollies, screwed in a board for the seat, and bolted them together then hooked them on the 4 wheeler. Totally cracked me up! The kids loved it! They reminded me of the sea gulls in Finding Nemo. Every time Blake cranked up the ATV to haul the train back to his friend's house the kids swarmed him for another ride!

You might be a redneck if you pull your kid around in a plastic drum strapped to a dolly!...and he enjoys it!~

Denise, those pictures show you were going to and id have a great party!!!

I so wish I was young and small enough to play on the play frame. What a lot of fun.

Love it!!! The idea is terrific - if my nephew and niece ever visit again we are definately doing this.

The swing set looks amazing. I wish I was a kid nowadays - this definately beats the metal rods with swings hanging on it. :rotfl2:

Welcome ! I'm new to this board as well. Looking forward to this fabulous cruise :cheer2:

Denise - WOW ! My 3 younger kids would love that play equipment, and I LOVE the idea of the plastic drums - fantastic !

As for us - not much happening around here. The weather has *finally* cooled down today - we're heading into the last month of autumn, and until Saturday still having temps in the high 20s (mid 80s). At least the humidity of Summer has long gone.

Long weekend, too - today (Monday) is the ANZAC Day holiday, so some time to sit and plan. I've been thinking of what to get as FE gifts - would some generic Australian souvenir-type items be suitable ? I guess I could try to get some Australian lollies through customs, as we were allowed them in 2008.

Hope you all have an enjoyable Sunday..... I really need to get to sleep - it's nearly 3am ! :surfweb:

Cheers,
Sally :)

Well! We have quite a few NEW additions to the thread! Welcome to you all!

Please send a PM to TIGFANJEFF so that he can add you and anyone sailing with you to our website.

Thanks and once again, WELCOME!!

Yeah I thought the plastic drum/dolly set up was so cute! There were 3 cars but the other guy that made it with my son needed to use one of the dollies. Yep, we're country! LOL!

Australian souvenirs would be so cool. I personally love getting FE gifts that are from different regions of the US and especially different parts of the world.

I am planning a trip to Australia, New Zealand, and Fiji in 2011. I was wondering if you could give me advice on what month is better, March, April or May as far as weather. I love warm weather- I want to be sure it will be in the 80s preferably but no lower than 70s. Is the weather much better or different in March vs. May? Any advice you can give would be greatly appreciated!
