Ok, ok,

I have to share (cause I am sooo excited!)

Received a call from a local radio station yesterday, they invited me to what they call an after work mixer (e.g. a small concert) with Kris Allen the winner of American Idol.:banana:

This is me :yay::yay::yay:

This is DD who will be my guest :yay::yay::yay::yay::yay:

Its in a local hotel, so should be exciting.

OK, we can resume normal programming now :)

-Kay

That's great!! Congratulations!!! Have a wonderful time!!!:thumbsup2

So exited Just talked DH in to going to Disneyland next weekend kids have a day off school! :mickeyjum:mickeyjum:mickeyjum Just hope my  kid will be well.
That's awesome! I wish I lived close enough to Disneyland to plan spur of the moment trips...I loved when I was in college in San Diego and could go up there so often...now I'm stuck in the wasteland of NJ, at least until I can convince my parents to move back out to California with me so I can once again live amongst the palm trees, beautiful weather, and fulfill my dream of working for Disney!

Thanks for your healthy wishes guys! We have a week to get everyone well again! :worship:pixiedust:

Yay!! A trip to Disneyland!

Love to Travel - where in the Bay do you live?? I know there are quite a few of us up above Bakersfield :lmao: I was going to say Northern CA but I'm not sure I consider Fresno too far North!

Alan - regarding sea days - I'm sorry I wasn't very clear. I meant sea days in a row. He wasn't thrilled about crossing the Atlantic = too many days at sea altogether.

Oh Cr@p - I forgot to check - read on the DIS somewhere that passport fees go up sometime in March!! Better go see if I am too late to save myself some $$

Got it. But it is only one more day in a row if again you count the canal as a sea day. Well DW is determend to go on the TA and is trying to figure it out.

Have a great trip and watch the Electric Light Parade for me. I wish we could make a quickie trip to see it before it goes to WDW.

Good Morning Panama Canal cruisers!

Kay~ congratulations it sounds like a fun party- even though I don't watch AI
Loves-to-travel- have a great trip- I wish!

I'm so in on the Swarovski field trip- I'd love to look- but will probably have to tie my hands behind my back so I don't cause a breakage! LOL

I flew into the San Juan islands off Seattle in a plane that was so small, they used the co-pilot seat for a customer seat. As part of his pre-flight spiel, the pilot told the passenger, "Don't touch ANYTHING!" :scared1:

Katherine

We flew into the San Juan islands too, and you are right! My husband sat in the co-pilot seat and the pilot told him not to touch ANYTHING!

Your dw sounds cool, cant wait to meet her.

Air Canada if you can believe it! One night, a couple of weeks ago, I was looking at prices and their website was showing $179 +taxes from YVR to MCO so I nearly fell of my chair... then I looked at the LAX to YVR leg and what do you know? $81 +taxes. It ended up being a seat sale that ended that night (which I didn't know at the time) but being DVC members I knew that was a good deal so I booked it. Then my parents went to do the same thing at 9:08 (after the Amazing Race was over) and the prices had gone back up to $425 & $215 respectively. :sad1:

Where do you end up flying to? I've always wanted to take the direct flight (Westjet) from Calgary to MCO.

I shall watch AC like a hawk! Depending on where we are for Christmas...here in the middle of nowhere, Calgary, or Winnipeg;

We can go direct form Calgary

Winnipeg TO MCO,

Or from here...YQR, YYC, MCO
YQR, Denver, MCO
YQR, YYZ, MCO
YQR Minneapolis, MCO
YQR, YYC, YYZ, MCO

Its horrible really...the drive to the airport for us is 1 3/4 hrs on top of it...It will be a challenge to shedule it so that we don't all go insane.

On the AC note...I had my first pleasant flight with them in 37 years, just last month. Quel Suprise!

I can probably guess the answer to this but you guys are such a wealth or DCL knowledge I thought I'd check with you.

My parents will likely be in Puerto Vallarta when we are in port there. Does Disney allow you to bring guests on board when you are in port? I can't imagine they do but I know Mom and Dad would LOVE to see the ship if it was possible.

We are having an interesting week. DD broke her hand at a Judo tournament on the weekend and will have to miss a few competitions. DS got a date for his first heart surgery. Mar 26th. His is as excited about it as he is apprehensive. I think it will be a great thing.

Could anyone email me a picture of the Wonder I could use to have made into a puzzle?

Hello to all the new people!!!!

Thanks!

I dont have to drive thru snow as I assume you do, but I have a 3 hr drive to the nearest airport....:headache:

The short answer is NO. Sorry. Even if Disney Did, the department of homeland security wouldn't.

Well, that's what I figured.

A three hour drive is ugly! The snow isn't too bad, it's when it's snowing AND windy that things get pretty dodgey....

Tami I had not thought of that before for you!! Grandma lived in Havasu for years. Love it there. But right...airports...none. Where do you fly in and out of??

We will be driving to San Jose - 2 hours - to fly to MCO - Fresno don't have too many choices on flights or airlines.

WE ARE AT 299 DAYS!!!!!

Well, officially it's 299 days and 20 hours, lol, but it still counts!!!! SO EXCITED!!!

Going to Disneyland tomorrow! Looking forward to seeing Captain EO and the new window dedicated to the Sherman Brothers. :lovestruc

Not really, LOL but I love her. We are off to Disneyland today. We have to fight with them today because they want us to pay for AP renewals but we should have been automaticly been upgraded to premire passes as we had active passes as of the anocement date of 3/10. Our DLR passes expire 3/21 and 3/28 and our WDW passes expire Jan 2011 and June 2011. So the fight is on but I have the proof from Thomas Smith director of social media of the Walt Disney Company. Let the fight begin. Ding, Ding.
