Tami I had not thought of that before for you!! Grandma lived in Havasu for years. Love it there. But right...airports...none. Where do you fly in and out of??

We will be driving to San Jose - 2 hours - to fly to MCO - Fresno don't have too many choices on flights or airlines.

It's Las Vegas or Phoenix, both about the same distance. But we hate Phoenix so we always go to Vegas when we need Costco, Trader Joes, Joann's and such. Funny thing is when I priced flights on US AIR it was $500 more to fly out of Phoenix so Vegas was a no brainer!!!

Going to Disneyland tomorrow! Looking forward to seeing Captain EO and the new window dedicated to the Sherman Brothers. :lovestruc

If I am not so upset about this pass thing, then I reall want to check out Captian EO.

Not really, LOL but I love her. We are off to Disneyland today. We have to fight with them today because they want us to pay for AP renewals but we should have been automaticly been upgraded to premire passes as we had active passes as of the anocement date of 3/10. Our DLR passes expire 3/21 and 3/28 and our WDW passes expire Jan 2011 and June 2011. So the fight is on but I have the proof from Thomas Smith director of social media of the Walt Disney Company. Let the fight begin. Ding, Ding.

Good luck Alan, no doubt you will let us kow how you get on.

I will be posting the results from Disneyland. I have a feeling it is going to be a hard one were I may not win but I still come out ahead. Everyone ready for round one. It starts in about a hour or so.

Those of you going to DL today and tomorrow, have fun!!!

We are going next week with the realization that it is going to be extremely crowded because it will be spring break for both AZ and UT schools!:scared1:

We do this every year with the grankids from AZ that come down to go to DL during their spring break. We enjoy our time with them there even though it is so crowded.

For crowded times at both WDW and DLR, I use the RideMax program available at ridemax.com. It is so cheap to buy the one year subscription for either one, and even cheaper for just the 90 day subscription. I have used it during busy times at both parks (Memorial Day weekend at WDW, New Years Eve and WDW, and Veterans Day at DLR which is a big school holiday), and had AMAZING results. Most had little or no wait times for all rides, and nothing more than 20 mins. Even when I go less crowded times, I would never go to either resort again with using RideMax as I just love how it gives me my daily itinerary and guarantees the best sequence with minimal waits. So if anyone has any upcoming trips during busy times, I highly recommend the product!! I would be happy to answer any questions about it too, just let me know!

I shall watch AC like a hawk! Depending on where we are for Christmas...here in the middle of nowhere, Calgary, or Winnipeg;

We can go direct form Calgary

Winnipeg TO MCO,

Or from here...YQR, YYC, MCO
YQR, Denver, MCO
YQR, YYZ, MCO
YQR Minneapolis, MCO
YQR, YYC, YYZ, MCO

Its horrible really...the drive to the airport for us is 1 3/4 hrs on top of it...It will be a challenge to shedule it so that we don't all go insane.

On the AC note...I had my first pleasant flight with them in 37 years, just last month. Quel Suprise!

Is Air Canada bad as an airline then? I am looking for flights to the UK and it seems to be $700 cheaper to fly indirect :sad2::sad2::sad2: and one of the options was AC.

I can probably guess the answer to this but you guys are such a wealth or DCL knowledge I thought I'd check with you.

My parents will likely be in Puerto Vallarta when we are in port there. Does Disney allow you to bring guests on board when you are in port? I can't imagine they do but I know Mom and Dad would LOVE to see the ship if it was possible.

We are having an interesting week. DD broke her hand at a Judo tournament on the weekend and will have to miss a few competitions. DS got a date for his first heart surgery. Mar 26th. His is as excited about it as he is apprehensive. I think it will be a great thing.

Could anyone email me a picture of the Wonder I could use to have made into a puzzle?

Hello to all the new people!!!!

Thanks!

The short answer is NO. Sorry. Even if Disney Did, the department of homeland security wouldn't.

I am sure I read somewhere that someone did this for a wedding. They came onboard for the day. (they were expecting and were past the cut off date for being able to sail so DCL worked it out with them). Also performers get on and off in the middle of cruises all the time.

It doesn't hurt to ask DCL, the worst they can say is no. Maybe if you come up with a special reason for the visit, DCL may be more inclined to help.

We are in southern Arizona, but also dislike Phoenix. I would definately choose Vegas as well.

Yay!!

Oh Cr@p - I forgot to check - read on the DIS somewhere that passport fees go up sometime in March!! Better go see if I am too late to save myself some $$

I have to renew mine - does anyone know the date of the price change? I looked on the main board but didn't see anything. I also have 2 DDIL's that either need one or need to do a name change.

Thanks

Hi, it's been a while since I last checked in - wow there have been a lot of posts!!

This has probably been asked before but I am curious, when do you think Disney will announce the shore excursions for this cruise? I would love to start some planning :rotfl:

We are just seeing the last of the snow here so I hate to wish away the summer but gosh I wish this cruise was sooner ;)

I need to know too. DD's passport needs renewing so better get that done.

Yes, keep us posted and good luck. "Fight the good fight" for all of us!

My WDW pass expires in October and my DL pass expires next January. I want to be able to get it upgraded when I'm down in August. I'm checking to see if DVC will be having a discount for us, too. Fingers crossed!

You should be getting the new Premier Pass in the mail with an expiration date in January since you currently have both annual passes.

As of now there is no DVC discount so it's priced too high for us. We'll stick with the deluxe DL AP and WDW parkhopper tickets.

Well I got a lot further than I thought I would to be honest. They were able to retrive the paperwork from guest services as they got it today. They voided it. I should not be charged but the supervisor could not say for sure if I would be getting a new premire pass. Here is the way I look at it. I will let my DLR pass expire on 3/21and wait to see if something comes in the mail. If not I will get a new DLR with the DVC discount. Then when my WDW expires in Jan of 2011 I will not renew. When my DLR expires in 2011 I will just get a premeir pass. So I won round one. Now if I get it in the mail I win the fight.

 Yay, it's the weekend

What are your plans ? Are you doing anything fun this weekend ?

Last night my wonderful hubby booked us a trip to WDW and we're doing the 5 night Key West Disney Wonder cruise for June ~ I can't wait, though I feel quite anxious as this will be our first holiday without the kids (though it will be a practice run for the Panama Canal sailing)

Could I ask for some advice please ? We are thinking of staying the night before our cruise at Port Canaveral, where would you recommend to stay ? Thanks for any recommendations

Well this morning I am going shopping with my eldest DD, then tomorrow it's Mother's Day in the UK, so we're going out to our favourite all-you-can-eat Chinese buffet

Have a great weekend everyone, whatever you're up to :thumbsup2

Lucky you Lynne, 5 days of sunshine would do me the world of good right now, I hope you have a great time ::yes::

The Radisson does sound really nice, and it's popular with DISers too, we may give it a go
