From WDW to DL With Love - January 06, 2011 part 2

WE always have to add in at least a thousand bucks each for air fair and the pc is still cheaper for us.

whats so good about aruba Dan? I cant wait to go to Aruba. Aruba,jamacia come on pretty........

Here's how I fell in love with Aruba:

On the East Bound canal cruise we had been in ports in Mexico and Columbia - and at each port the security ranged from lots of port security and cops armed with pistols to soldiers armed with machine guns and the feeling we were in a military base.

Then we arrived at Aruba.

Where port security consisted of a guard shack (no guard). And a sign on the front of the shack said "Security level - Green"

I haven't seen security level green anywhere in this country since they invented color coded security levels.

At that point I fell in love with Aruba

The perfect beaches didn't hurt either....

Yes it will suck not being able to go on the Westbound TA, but the extra 1400 airfare is killing it. We are not pulling the plug yet, trying to wait and see if they over a airline industry rate. If they do it might get saved as we will save another 1000 bucks off our total cruise fare. If not looks like back to back on the Wonder. We would only owe another 300 bucks ascwe woukd transfer our deposit and then book with the airline industry rate. We are commited not to let Uncle Sam cancel our long vacation, so the back to back and at least a week at WDW will be better than nothing. Oh. DW tells me that there is no way this icruise s getting axed so that is a good thing.

Greetings fellow canuck! Who did you book your Air through? It's so impossible to get out of SK. We always get the milk run and we still get to pay $1000.00 per person. I am trying to find cheaper.

Air Canada if you can believe it! One night, a couple of weeks ago, I was looking at prices and their website was showing $179 +taxes from YVR to MCO so I nearly fell of my chair... then I looked at the LAX to YVR leg and what do you know? $81 +taxes. It ended up being a seat sale that ended that night (which I didn't know at the time) but being DVC members I knew that was a good deal so I booked it. Then my parents went to do the same thing at 9:08 (after the Amazing Race was over) and the prices had gone back up to $425 & $215 respectively.

Where do you end up flying to? I've always wanted to take the direct flight (Westjet) from Calgary to MCO.

Great airfare prices everyone!! We had checked into the TA cruise as well but DH did not like the itinerary with so many sea days. Guess we will all have to meet up on the Wonder!!

Can't wait to see the "perfect beaches" of Aruba and really looking forward to Costa Rica too!!

I just looked at both itineraries, if you count the Panama Canal day as a day at sea they both have 8.

Thankfully, we have limited choices, so that helps! I will definatly look into having our passports stamped, so I will report the outcome when I get back.
I too, am waiting on SW to book the flight home, but I don't mind. I like to be paid in full, and that won't be until July. I can wait.

That would be awesome if you could report back about the passports getting stamped. I am dying to know if the rumor is true that you can leave them at Guest Services and they have them stamped for you. I sure hope it is true so we can get a few good ones on our trip!
