I recommend the zip-line for anyone thinking about it. :thumbsup2 The have a weight limit but no age limit. They kept telling us to look at the beauty around us but I never had the time what with trying to remember everything they told us, like how to slow down and stop. I really had a good time.

DH and I want to Zip-line so bad but we don't really want to leave the kids in the kid's club while we go off on an excursion. I don't know, maybe something we need to talk about again.

Gotta put in another plug for the Zip Line adventure. We had a BLAST doing the one in Cabo last time. I was really afraid it would be too strenuous for me and I'd have a hard time keeping up with the gang but nope! I LOVED it! I'm sure we'll do it again this time but probably somewhere else.

DCL announced a 2 night cruise from Los Angeles January 21-23, 2011. Just a day at sea and 2 great nights!

We decided to let our vow renewal go and book the 2 night instead to enjoy ourselves and celebrate my birthday on the 21st. I was kind of bummed I had to get off of the ship on my birthday - now I don't have to!

I'm SO excited! A dear friend and her daughter just booked the cruise yesterday!!!! I was a little worried because my ds will be too old for the teen club this time around, which might mean my dd wouldn't want to go either. This way their mutual friend will be there and the 3 of them can hang out together. Since the friend will just be 18, they might let her into the club, but Erik will already be 19 so I kind of doubt they'd let him in...

It just keeps getting better all the time! Now we're trying to talk another family with a dd 22 and a ds 20 into coming and the gang will be complete!:cheer2::cheer2:

Sounds neat! I just did a search online and obviously, something is up with guest 3 and 4. The quote for an 11B for 2A, 2C = $2,000,737.72! They have kids at $1,000,119.00 each. I'm sure it's supposed to be $119 each, which would make the 2 nt cruise for our family $737.72. Hmmmm.......

Don't think I'll book now. I'll see how it fills up and what kind of discounts they offer.

That sounds right..my first quote was 1 million! :lmao:..I was only the 3rd person to call in. I had a client who wanted to go so I took advantage and booked us too!

They can quote for 2 persons only...they did not realize there was a glitch until I tried to add a 3rd person :rotfl:

If you are really interested, I would call in or have your TA call in for you. They didn't even have it on the website when I called..they said it should all be fixed by tonight.

We will just add our DD later today. We just wanted to secure the cabin.

Yea for you!!! We can't seem to get any of our friends or family into cruising :confused3.

We did however make some great friends with a couple of families on our Dec. cruise. We had planned to cruise with one of the families again for a March '11 MR cruise. However, we changed to this one and they were unable to. Our DDs were really bummed because they became such great friends and were inseparable almost the entire cruise. Hopefully one of these days we can cruise with one of the families again. Don't know if I'll ever convince some of "land" friends to ever cruise.

Ooh, I would rather do that than be at DL over the weekend. Oh yes!!

In order to find the 2NT cruise on the website you have to search under Mexican Riveria, even though it's a cruise to nowhere. It's a little tempting but I think 15 nights are enough for us, I'd rather spend time at DL or something else in CA, especially for the price (even the real price, not the million ;) )

I haven't had a chance to catch up on all the posts but just wanted to say that my post about PV was not intended to deter anyone from experiencing the port. It was just a comment. Every person's likes and dislikes are different. I would never avoid experiencing a new port even if every one on this board said it was terrible (although, I would avoid it if it was unsafe). I'm one of those people that just has to see it for herself.

PV just wasn't our type of port. Some of the places we saw were dirty but it may just have been the tour we took. Plus, our guide spoke broken English and the microphone did not work. So I had to keep asking my DH what he said. I am very bad with understanding accents but even DH didn't know what he said half the time. I've always liked ports where you could just walk of the ship and experience the town on your own. IMO, PV is not one of those port, unless you are looking forward to going to Wal-Mart. :)

Having said that, I'm pretty sure I'm going to surprise DH with the zip line excursion there. I would rather him do the zip line there so that we and DD can do family excursions or explorations in Cabo and CR. We had a great time in Cabo, I'm hoping it hasn't changed too much in 6 years. You can walk to a lot of shops and restaurants from the port including Cabo Wabo. Or, you can be lazy and get a ride in a bicycle carriage. The horseback riding on the beach was great too.

Completely understandable. Since we live only 15 minutes from Disneyland and it's my actual birthday - we just couldn't pass it up...but if you are not from the area - Disneyland is a great place to visit!

As for the ports - we always get off the ship..even if we have been there just to take a chance we might find something new! We prefer Cabo over PV as you can just walk into the town. If nothing else, just to stretch and take a walk.

We did the land and sea excursion in Cabo and liked it. It is a tendered port. First we had a catamaran trip out to the rocks, then a bus around for a while, stopping off at a view point at a hotel. You could buy drinks there. It was only a short excursion, but I can't actually remember how long. You were dropped off and then could spend time looking round Cabo too.

Here is a picture of John and I at the viewpoint with the Magic and the rocks in the background.

We did the kayak tour last time in Cabo to honeymoon and divorce beaches. I would do it again in a heartbeat, it was awesome. Apparently then we went to Cabo Wabo, I can neither confirm nor deny that!

That is wonderful news!! We keep trying to get poeple we know to book, and it is just not working. So it will just be DH an myself on this cruise. It will be totally different for us because we don't know anyone. It's a good thing DH and I get along so well!:lmao:

We also made some great friends on our last cruise on the Magic. We tried to get them to go on this cruise, but they just couldn't do it. We have a 5 night on the Dream booked, and three of the families will be going with us. I'm really looking forward to seeing them again.
I hope you will be able to cruise with them again! You will have such a wonderful time!

My husband is from Croatia. I met him on Majesty of the Seas. He was my waiter back in 1997. He just got his US citizenship last month and will sail on the Wonder with his new US Pass Port!

Ahh, there really is a Love Boat!

As tempting as another two nights would be, I think it is home for me. After not beingbin my bed for 2 1/2 weeks I am going to want starting to sleep in my bed by the time we hit PV, maybe sooner.

I sleep so well on the ship, but I am thinking after all that it really wouldn't be worth the money to stay onboard for that short time. I won't want to get off though.:sad2:
