We might visit Michigan one of these days. That's where Jarvis is from. Not sure what city, though. I'll have to ask Trent.

Maybe there can be a stopover in Cincinnati on the way to Michigan! I'd love to meet you on the way. If not, I'd gladly haul my crew up to Michigan if it's a summer visit!

John got some good pictures on your safari. I love Bella's Belle and Brooklynn's Ariel. I haven't seen those before. I hope Trent has a fun birthday party. I am glad you all will be able to celebrate with him.

Your meet sounds like so much fun!!! :goodvibes Wish I was several hours closer!!!
Bella and her baby Belle are adorable....love her kicking legs!!!! :)

Have we compared dates for our Halloween weekend trips? I'd love to meet up and say hi!:goodvibes

No, we haven't! I just realized when you were telling Trent on fb, just the other day, that you'd be there for Halloween. Where have I been??

I'd certainly love to meet up, as well! :) Our dates are Oct. 29th-Nov. 2nd, staying at Pop. What are yours?

I wanted to answer you here but I'm going to post this on your TR, as well, so we don't hijack over here. :flower3:

This is true. It's what I said to myself on the first day of school. :)
As a senior, this year will really truly fly by for you.

Overall, my first day was pretty good :) I like my teachers. I know a lot of people think senior year is easy and relaxed, but not in my school. I'm gonna be exhausted when graduation gets here! On top of all my classes, we have to do a "senior project" which includes 15 hours of field work, a 10 page paper, and an oral presentation. :faint: It's spread out throughout the year. I haven't officially picked a topic yet, but I have a few ideas.

We have some new school policies that no one's happy about. Our final exams are gonna be in May now(usually they're the last week of school) and if we get lower than a 70, we have to re-take them. If the two scores don't average out to a 70 or above, we fail the class. So I could have an A in a class, get a 69 on the exam, and fail the class, which for seniors, could cause them to have to go to summer school before they can graduate. It's ridiculous. And they installed security cameras outside of the school and apparently during school hours the doors are all locked and if parents or anyone else comes into the school during the day they have to be buzzed in(like an apartment building). It's insane! Something must have happened that we don't know about. I live in a small town. It's not a dangerous area at all :confused3 I'm glad it's my last year at this school. I mean, I like it, but over the past couple years the rules have gotten ridiculous. Starting next year, they're considering making the school day longer and reducing the amount of vacation days, and making the kids take the standardized tests from Massachusetts and Connecticut, along with the Rhode Island tests we already take, just to see how our scores compare. Again, I'm glad it's my last year.

Anyway, I'm done with the ranting :rotfl: My mom surprised me with Red Sox tickets for this Sunday when I got home so that made the day even better :goodvibes

Will there be room for Henry and I to join you? I think you could easily "disappear" at Crystal Palace!

I'm certain Henry will be too the first time that happens to him!!

I promise to bring you good and happy pictures starting on Thursday.

We could cover ourselves with leaves and hide out amongst the topiaries until everyone is gone. Then we hit the ice cream machine! ;)

We will look very forward to those wonderful pictures! :cool1:

We can probably do that. We'd love to meet up with the Mops! :dance3:

We're not telling him about the cupcake decorating.

One day we'll plan a huge meet in Disney World. We are long overdue on that Pop meet, anyway. We'll probably be in WDW the end of July and first of August next year. We will be glad to meet up with anyone who is down there then.

You know we don't mind hijackers. I hope you guys can hook up on your trips. :goodvibes

Good luck on all of your senior activities. Just get the most out of it and make it a fun year. It'll be over before you know it, and you'll be on to more exciting things.

So nice of Mom to surprise you with tickets. :)

Hello MeMom and Jill and everyone else too! :wave2:

I have some pics to share of my little Claire Bear!

Here she is chillin in my mom's pool!

photo7-1.jpg

And here she is working on her pout (I tried to resize the picture, but I couldn't get it to work!)

IMG_0190-2.jpg

And here she is working on her sitting!

I'm pretty sure we have changed our travel plans for Claire's first birthday. Instead of going to Disney World, I think we are going to go on a Disney Cruise!

I'm pretty sure we have changed our travel plans for Claire's first birthday. Instead of going to Disney World, I think we are going to go on a Disney Cruise!

I think it's so cute when they are started to sit up for a little bit, then they sway over and crash into the pillows. She's a little doll, Julie! I hope to see her in person one of these days. :cutie:

Is that your puppy in the back? What does he/she think of Claire?

A Disney cruise would be cool. People who have been on them give them rave reviews. What made you think of changing to that?

We last left you standing under this humongous dinosaur.

IMG_6176.jpg

Obviously, he is not real.

The ones in here, however...

IMG_6177.jpg

are very real!

Brooklynn was tall enough to ride and very excited about that.

IMG_6178.jpg

Bella and I waited in the gift shop while the others went to get eaten by prehistoric reptilians.

IMG_6179.jpg

Isn't this cute for a little girl?

IMG_6180.jpg

Bella had a close call with having her foot taken off, but she moved back just in time.

IMG_6181.jpg

Then she found some dinos that were more friendly than hungry.

IMG_6182.jpg

IMG_6183.jpg

These shirts were everywhere, and they were super popular, because we saw a ton of people wearing them.

IMG_6184.jpg

I ended up getting Bella some pretzels to have while we waited. I took a picture of two snacks that I did not buy, just for informational purposes. You can snack while your family is being eaten by dinosaurs.

IMG_6185.jpg

Our family managed to escape alive, but as you can see, it was very touch and go for a while.

IMG_6186.jpg

Brooklynn came out and proceeded to explain that this dinosaur tried to eat her.

IMG_6191.jpg

And so did this one.

IMG_6193.jpg

Baby dino things.

IMG_6192.jpg

We were going to babyswap, but Brooklynn didn't want to ride Dinosaur a second time, so we went on.

We went back to where the safe, fake dinosaurs hang out.

IMG_6195.jpg

The smiling, blue one gave us the thumbs up for this area.

IMG_6196.jpg

There was no wait for Triceratop Spin, so we all boarded.
I got the triceratops in front so that I could take pictures.
I might have taken video of us going around and around. Not sure, but Jill will know.

IMG_6198.jpg

When that ride was over, Jill, John, and Bella went on to shop for a minute, but Brooklynn and I had another couple of things to do first.

She drove a car, one handed, while waving and not watching the road,

IMG_6202.jpg

and then played a game.

IMG_6204.jpg

You can clearly see the dad coaching his daughter on how to win the game against her unsuspecting opponent. ;)

Look at Brooklynn's determination.

IMG_6205.jpg

The prizes they were playing for were very valuable.

IMG_6206.jpg

Brooklynn came in second , but she had a great time playing.

I was just kidding about the dad before. He was just showing her what to do, and both girls had a lot of fun playing the 20 second game. She went away with a treasured octopus and Brooklynn went away not even knowing there were prizes involved. They were both cute and it was fun.

And expensive.

Great update! Brooklynn is so brave to going on Dinosaur! I may have hidden under Ben's arm when we went on that ride. :rolleyes1

Hannah did indeed sleep in this weekend. She woke up Friday with pinkeye and now has a fever to go with it. Ugh! She's already missed 2 days of school and her first dance lesson of the year. :headache: I'm really ready for everyone at my house to be healthy!!

oh oh and you would probably have to take 75 to get to MI and we are not far off 75 in NW Ohio!! Just saying since the last time Jill was in Ohio it did not work out for us to meet!

Great video and love the Chester/Hester pics.

Jill- I am not getting between you and MeMom re hiding out. I can do snacks for 4 more or 2- let me know what you decide. :rotfl2:

Thank you! I know it'll be a fun year :thumbsup2

Yes it was!!! We had been talking about going to another Sox game this year but I thought they were all sold out. It'll be a nice treat after my first week of school and my mom's first week at work after vacation ::yes::

That last update reminded me of my Animal Kingdom DIS meet with Meg. One of the dinosaurs on Triceratop Spin wasn't flying. He was just stuck on the ground. It was so sad :sad2:

We could cover ourselves with leaves and hide out amongst the topiaries until everyone is gone. Then we hit the ice cream machine! ;)

I like the way you think lady! ::yes::

ADORABLE! I love those little legs...and how ladylike to have them crossed. :goodvibes

Great Dino update! I remember when Henry was little and just fascinated with the dino toys in that gift shop....I bet we'd now have a hard time getting out of there without him wanting at least one!

Brooklynn is so brave to ride Dinosaur - the picture from the ride is great! Jill looks like she's really screaming and both Momma and Daddy are protecting Brooklynn from the big scary dinosaur. :cutie:

I can only imagine how much those games are at Chester and Hesters. They seem to be quite the upscale type of road-side carnival. ;)

We always do scared faces or silly faces when we get our picture taken. The family that rode behind us was so excited that we made scared faces. They said normally they get people just sitting there.

Brooklynn was so funny when we got off the ride. She said she didn't like it because "The girl behind me was screamin' like a ninny!" (said in the sassiest southern voice)

I love Dinoland.
I usually get in a fit of giggles now when I ride Dinosaur.
I will forever remember this picture
AkDinosaurhearspeakseeridecloseup12.jpg

We are in the back row. Yes we ( I ) decided we would do that just for giggles.

I think I'm all caught up now :cool1: This trip looks like it was such a wonderful time for your family. I'm looking forward to hearing about the rest of it :wave2:

loved the dino pictures. brooklynn is so brave for facing all those ferocious beasts!!!

julie - she's such a doll! :goodvibes love the pictures. thanks for sharing!

check out the kid in the front row. he's hiding under his mom/grandma/aunt/friend/unsuspecting stranger's arm and her shirt is almost coming off because of it! :lmao:

Fun update from Dinoland!
Brooklynn is such a thrill ride gal!
So happy she came out uneaten....

I agree those carnival games are expensive and Baylor is such a sucker for them.
I don't think he'll ever learn. :sad2:

Julie, baby Claire is just beautiful!

Pat, your picture is a hoot! You all in the back row and the poor lady in the front!:rotfl2:

Aw..Brookie made it on Dinosaur! :woohoo: That is one ride Little Guy wanted to do and I definitely knew he would NOT like it at all! Love the ride pic!

Haha, Bella doesn't look too sure about those dinos!
