Awww MeMom! Loved the preview of your October trip. Our trip this October was a first for me. I have been in April, June, July November and December and I do believe I prefer October. But Fall is my favorite time of year and also I'm a Halloween baby so I loved all the fall decor. The only thing was pool time the first part of our stay if was a little cool (for us) to be in the pool. Other than that nothing compares. We loved MNSSHP!
I wish Southwest flew out of Memphis maybe it would be cheaper than it is out of Little Rock. Memphis is about 35 Minutes closer for us but if Soutwest was cheaper I would drive to Little Rock. Although none of the flights to Orlando from Little Rock are non-stop. The only non-stop carrier we have is DELTA(ugh). It was Northwest and I didn't mind NW so much, but Delta over sales and they tried to bounce people because they had over sold by 5 seats. They also had first class seats empty and wouldn't let anyone have them without paying 75 dollars extra for them. There were alot of upset people. I think they ended up bouncing the last people who checked in.

We didn't get to ride Star Tours either on this trip. I didn't know they were changing it. I thoght they were just doing a rehab. We also missed IASW and the Tea Cups. But, we did get to ride Space Mountain for the first time since the changes. When I was there last November I got to see them working on it when we rode the "people mover".

My son Scott and my DIL Katy haven't been blessed with children yet. He is very attached to Ty like Trent is to the girls. He really enjoyed seeing Disney with Ty. I think he and Trent will be a great Dads.

Anyway... I am ready to hear all about the rest of your summer trip. :)

It sounds like you had a good trip, even if it was too short. I love the picture of Trent and Bella. You can see how much he loves those girls through the pictures.

I didn't know that Star Tours was one of your favorite rides. I can't wait to see the new ride.

We met Duffy for the first time.

So that's why the "walls" went up. I guess they were creating his meet and greet area.

and while you're at it tell them to hurry up and start flying out of atlanta! my sister had to fly on us airways out of atlanta today and she said it was a nightmare. she spent like 2 hours online/the phone yesterday just trying to get checked in for her flight and she was wishing she was flying southwest the entire time! but she made it home safe so i guess that's all that matters.

good luck on your flight rate shopping!

I see on their map that Greenville/Spartanburg is coming in 2011. I may drive there instead of the closer Charlotte. I did USAir too and they annoyed me. I actually like Airtran after all this travelling. Airtran could store my carryon and not have to gate check it.
But if I did have to fly USAir again I had an . I will get a second yellow ME tag and tag my carryon roller so that when they tell me to gate check ( or I will wait and board late just to get that done :rolleyes1) it will already have the ME tag on and still can bypass bagage claim. :thumbsup2

I loved my Southwest encounter to San Antonio. I also loved 2 checked bags, just like the old days.

Getting all caught up with you this evening.
So glad the kitty is better. :-)

What pretty pictures of Disney dressed up for fall!
Makes me anxious for our blink and you'll miss it trip.
Although from what I'm reading we are bringing rain with us...

Star Tours is one of my favorites, too, and I am so excited to see what they are going to do to improve it! We may have to go in May just to see. ;)

Great pictures! I want the Ewok, too cute!

While you are talking to Southwest, please ask them why KC to Birmingham is no longer part of their Wanna Get Away specials. I'd like a decent priced flight to visit my sister please.

I got the Star Wars Mickey with the brown cloak (not sure who he is) when we were there during Star Wars Weekend one time.

Those 'Wanna Get Away' flights are what we cherish, but they are definitely getting higher. We used to get them for $79, but we're not seeing that these days.

The pool was cool at night. When the kids got out, they were shaking a bit, but Tuesday before we left, it was perfect when we were over at Pop Century.

Air Tran is supposedly cheaper, but their flights are more limited, and I have heard several stories of last minute cancellations. I would be really, really unhappy about that, so I like to stick with SW for now.

Fantasyland was kind of a mess when we were there. Teacups has the top off of it and is blocked off, so that means more walls are up down there. Small World was blocked off, and Winnie-the-Pooh was closed. For people taking that once or twice in a lifetime trip - maybe that area wasn't so magical at that time.

Yep, I have to talk myself through things when the doors shut, but when I look straight ahead and get into the ride, I really like it. It's just exciting enough, yet not too rough.

Not many people seemed to have much interest in the little guy, at least while we were there.

Two bags = good stuff. Even on short trips when I might not need two, I put a little bit in each of two so that I have plenty of room for bringing things back. :)

The cat's back legs seem a little stiff, but other than that, he seems to be fairly normal. He gets up and down on the bed and on the steps slower and more carefully, but he's eating and drinking and responding to affection.

That's what this one was for us, too. I sure like those longer trips better, but if it has to be short trips and we can go fairly often, I will be grateful for whatever we get.

I hope there won't be enough rain to mess up things too much. We sure can't complain one bit about the weather we had. I could be happy with that weather every trip!

I think you should! :thumbsup2
What is the opening date for that?

Okay, what happened after the parade?
I really can't recall.

I think I met the guys and Tanya at Starring Rolls.

I think Tanya had bought these.

I can't say what was next, because it was a while back, but the next pictures I have are these. So, I'm going to say they went off for more rides or left the park, and I shopped.

I enjoy seeing those pictures, because we didn't even go into Hollywood Studios on this trip. We went over there to transfer buses one day, but that's as close as we got.

I saw this can back in the summer and really liked it, because it has a ton of characters and attractions on it.

I wanted to get it on this trip, but when it was time to go, there really wasn't room for it. My most awesome daughter snuck off and bought it for me, and she bought me a rolling duffel bag to take it home in, as well. It made me tear up. She's the best girl, and I don't deserve her kindness, but I sure do like that tin, and I love her for her thoughtfulness. It is special now not only because it is just so Disney, but because she got it for me. It is filled with individually wrapped chocolate chip cookies. I'm not really sure how I am going to use it, but I know it will be used and treasured for the rest of my life.

That was so sweet of Jill. Thanks for the DHS pictures because we didn't make it there on our short trip either. The boys opted to visit Animal Kingdom a second day instead of DHS. Which made me very happy because AK is my absolute favorite park. Even more so now since I braved EE and enjoyed it.

Just got home and can finally see pictures of the tin that Jill got for you. So cute! She is such a sweet daughter! Enjoy those cookies! I can't wait to see how you use the special happy tin!

I love the pics of DHS. Your tin is absolutely adorable! Jill is so sweet to get it for you. It makes me want to leave now! I am enjoying some quiet time at home. My boys are at their Mimi's house and Jason is at the UT game. The stillness is wonderful. Keep the pics coming!

Aw, that is so sweet of Jill!!! She is very thoughtful and a sweet gal! :)

I love seeing pics of the villains at the store in DHS. But, I have to admit, everytime I see Malificent I always think of a certain friend named DAWN :lmao:
