From Pop to AKL

What is the most effective way to get from POP to AKL? We have a 7pm reservation at Boma. Would it be to go to DTD and change there or to a park? Thanks!

How late is Animal Kingdom open that evening? You can see the hours here on the DIS home page - wdwinfo.com - or at disneyworld.com.

If AK is open for Extra Magic Hours, or just late because WDW will be busy when you go, your best option is Bus to AK, then bus to AKL. Next would be bus to MGM/bus to AKL; then bus to Epcot/bus to AKL; then bus to DTD/bus to AKL; finally, bus to MK/bus to AKL. But really your most efficient option would be a taxi.

If there are still buses running to the AK I would take the bus to the AK and then from there to the AKL. During your stay the AK is open until 6:00 so you may be able to get a bus at around 6:00. Or you can take a bus to MGM and then an AKL bus from there.
I try to stay away from going the DTD route, it is pretty far from the POP and quite a distance to the AKL.
I try to go to the park that is the closest to the resort that I want to go, rather than using DTD as my hub.

We stayed at Pop in October. We also had reservations for Boma's, ours were for breakfast brunch.

We took a taxi. It cost us $25, including tip.

We had asked around when we were - if we had taken the busses from Pop to park to AKL it would have taken about an hour - give or take, depending on crowds, etc. The taxi seemed to be the best solution. We called the front desk, they called the cab, and it was waiting for us when we got to the front.

I can not imagine why a bus from the POP to the AK would take an hour, its about a 15 to 20 minute ride at best, even if you had to wait 15 minutes for a bus you are still only talking about a half of an hour.
