The cast…

Me, Erika, 35, Disney obsessed for as long as I can remember
Dh, 37, lucky for me, while not obsessed, also loves Disney
Ds, 11, much like dh
Dd, 8, much like me, Disney Obsessed

Dh and I put on our Halloween shirts. We did not go for costumes, but had orange Halloween shirts I picked up at Target. The kids got their costumes on. Alexa is a cheerleader, with 2 M’s and a Mickey head on her top. Matthew is a pirate. They look so cute!!! I’m glad hers is sleeveless and his is very thin, as it’s very warm tonight as well. Once again the skies are looking ominous as we head to the bus stop. Please don’t storm on our party!!! While we are waiting at the bus stop, Pat (Patabel) and Karen (KrnB) and family also arrive at the bus stop in their Halloween gear. It’s great to see them again. We chat for awhile, then the bus arrives. My son sits with Karen’s son on the bus, and the two of them are a good pair. No one would have been able to get a word in edgewise in that conversation LOL. They were cute.

We say our goodbyes as we get off the bus and head off for our PS at the Crystal Palace. This is the first time we’ve eaten here and we liked it quite a bit! We just missed Tigger though, he was at the table next to ours and headed the wrong way. We ended up staying at our table for an hour an 20 minutes to see Tigger when he came back. The party didn’t start ‘till 7, so we didn’t have anywhere to rush off to anyway. The buffet here was a little better than our trip to H&V last night. There was a shredded pork that was to die for! Also, they had white bread and bowls of peanut butter and jelly! This was great for my picky eater. We finished up our dinner, and went to visit Eeyore on the way out. He took my daughters pom pom and shook them around, it was really cute. While we were eating it got really dark and poured for a little bit, but someone must have been on our side because it quit before we left the restaurant.

They were just letting the people out of Tomorrowland as we walked out of the CP. We headed straight for Frontierland, since we never got our ride on Big Thunder the other night. We grabbed some candy by the Treehouse and another place or two, and walked back by the mountains. There was not another person in sight, anywhere! It was cool. We walked right onto to Big Thunder and they told us to sit anywhere we wanted. Never heard that before at Disney. Wheeeeeeeeeeee, my dd loves this ride, she hoots and hollers all the way through. When we pull into the station, we heard to really unthinkable at Disney “there’s no one in line if you want to stay on”!!! Oh my. However, dd has to go the bathroom. Oh shoot, oh well. We get that taken care of, and the boys go to Splash and we go back to Big Thunder. Again, sit anywhere you want. It was just the two of us, and one other woman on the train. When we are done we hear it again, you can stay on, so we do! We have never ridden twice without getting off on anything here before. Way cool.

We are heading to the Haunted Mansion next. On the way we get some more candy and some CM’s recruit the kids to have stick horse races, and knock down milk bottles. Alexa wins the horse race. It was such great fun, what a wonderful party. We walk on to the HM and Alexa is a little less nervous than the first time she rode last year. She still keeps her head down in the stretching room, but open for most of the ride. The line for this ride is so cool in the dark, what a great building. We finish there and walk on Peter Pan. We were going to try Dumbo, but the line was too long for us. Not nearly as long, however, as the line for Aurora and Prince Phillip! Wow, I could not believe how long that was. That was not how we wanted to use our time. Pooh’s line was fairly long too, so we went to Toontown and rode the Barnstormer. We had to wait about 3 minutes, but that was fine. We grabbed a little more candy and saw the path for the Mad Hatters treat party. Not many people going that way, so we headed down the path.

Now this was where the real fun was!!! All along the path were the cards from Alice in Wonderland, handing out candy. Alice, the Mad Hatter and The Queen were also there, as well as Tweedle Dee and Dum. They were so funny. They were grabbing onto the pom poms and shaking them and just being crazy. We walked a little further and the Mad Hatter came towards us. As he passed a pair of cards he made a loud sneezing noise and dumped the cards candy bowl full of Nestle Crunch all over the ground. She starts yelling at him (in her proper british accent) to pick that up. He crosses him arms in a huff and says he won’t do it, and stomps off. She is still yelling at him, and finally she says she won’t pick it up either and tells the kids to help themselves. So these few kids are picking up tons of crunch bars off the ground. It was so funny. There had been a young man in a red t-shirt walking by at the same time, and the car decided to blame him for it. She followed him all the way down the rest of the path yelling at him, asking him why he knocked her candy down. She was right next to him the entire time. It was so hilarious, I don’t think he knew what to make of it. When they reached the end of the path, some more cards were coming onto the path, and she yelled to them “watch out for that man in the red shirt, he’ll steal your candy” as he walked away. It was such a riot!!!

The guys decided to ride Space Mountain, and dd and I ran into Mickey’s Startraders to buy a couple of MNSSHP t-shirts and pins. They were done by the time I was done shopping, so the line must have been really short. We only had about 15 minutes until fireworks, so we started to head to the bridge out of tomorrowland. We found another candy sign inside of an area behind Buzz. Also in here was Sora from Kingdom Hearts. My kids were so excited to meet him, they love that game. We made it to the end of the bridge and sat on the sidewalk to watch the fireworks. It was not crowded at all. The fireworks were amazing! I loved how they exploded all around us.

We still had some time before the 10pm parade, so we went back and walked on Buzz (I love it when you don’t have to wait), then finally got our family photo taken. I asked which way the parade went and was told it would be back in Liberty square around 10:15, so we decided to go ride a few things and wait for the parade back there. We walked right onto the Jungle Cruise, which has also never happened, and took our first ride in the dark. Very cool. It gets quite dark back there. I love the jokes on this ride. They are so bad, they’re funny! We found Timon and Rafiki by Aladdin and stopped for pictures. There was no one else there, so they grabbed my kids hand and just started dancing! It was so cute. I swear they would have danced all night, but I stopped them to take pictures after a couple of minutes, because a couple of kids were now waiting for their turn. From there we rode Aladdin and then went back for the parade. We found a perfect spot in front of Pecos Bills. There were people sitting on the ground right in front of the curb, but not on the curb. My kids were able to sit and still see the whole parade perfectly. I love Cruella, she is my favorite villain, and watching her strut her stuff cracks me up. And seeing the real dalmations on the trailer, how adorable!!!

After the parade we walked onto Pirates, and stopped to take a few pics of ds in his pirate costume in the line area. A woman was in line in front of us with a huge mechanical bat on her shoulder. Somewhere she had controls, so it could move. It was the coolest thing! It was so realistic. A couple of people asked her if it was real. By the time we were done it was about time to go. We walked slowly down mainstreet watching the Mickey bats and ghosts being shined on the buildings. It was about 11:30 when we got on the bus. Tomorrow would be a day to sleep in!
