We Won!!!!!!! 4 to 1:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

We are now headed to the finals which are Saturday night at 7pm. It's sort of an upset because the # 1 and #2 teams are out. We are ranked #3 and we will be playing the #5 team. It's an exciting game for Brian because he used to play on a traveling team with a bunch of boys on the opposing team.

So thanks again for all the good wishes! You guys are the bomb!

Yay! Good luck in saturdays game, and hopefully the weather is a little nicer!

Mary Ellen, that is just fantastic about Brian's win!!! What a great experience to play in the finals on Saturday!!! Good luck!!!

:yay::yay:That's wonderful! I'm so excited for you! I have to say I needed some good news this morning (got a call at midnight from Caitlin...she hit a deer :eek:thankfully she's fine and not too much damage to her car) so thanks for sharing with all of us.

Woo Hoo!! :woohoo:

:cheer2: Good luck again for tomorrow night! :cheer2:

Very exciting news and I will be channeling those hot soccer Gods to send you winning vibes!!

Hey! Congrats on the soccer win! :cheer2:

Tricia's finals have been rained out two weekends in a row! Hope third time's the charm this weekend!

I'm finally caught up... envying your low-crowds karma and loving your laid-back touring style! :thumbsup2 (And laughing at all the light fixture pix for LL... she really started a trend, huh?!)

:cool1: congrats on the win!! Good luck this weekend! I can't wait to hear how it goes!!!

Woo hoo!! Great job on the win, boys!! That is SO COOL!

I feel the same way on the mugs. I like to buy a new one each time, simply because it's one of my souvenirs from the trip. I guess I don't have a problem if you use the mug in, say, January and again in June, but I think to use a mug from YEARS ago is a bit cheap. And I also think - why risk it? Sure, most cast members don't seem to care, and there is such a giant mark-up on soda anyway, Disney is not losing big $$ from old cups getting soda. But it seems like cheating to me, in a way, and I feel uncomfortable with that.

Great update! :thumbsup2

Thanks! Last night's weather turned out much better than I thought it was going to be. It stayed reasonably warm, but was very damp - frizzy hair damp!

Oh WOW!

This made my night!

Thanks Cynthia. It really is great to get a big win. It makes all the soccer sacrifice seem worth it!

Thanks CP! Brian is really excited to be playing in the finals. The team hasn't made it to the finals since 2006 (which they lost). I don't think they have ever won the championship.

Oh No! Poor Caitlin. That had to be so scary. Those deer are huge and can really cause a lot of damage. I hope she is fully recovered from that scare and I'm glad the damage wasn't terrible.

Thanks Denise!

:yay: :cheer2:  :cool1:

Congrats to Brian and his team. Good luck in the finals :thumbsup2

Thanks Katie! Keep sending those good wishes for the finals!

Congrats on the win and good luck tomorrow night!

Thank you! Thank you! And Thank You!
(I've got to get back over to your TR to see what I'm missing)

Woo Hoo!! :woohoo:

Tracy

Thanks....And by all means, light a fire under those soccer gods because we need all the help we can get!!!!!! (especially "hot" soccer gods - do they bear a resemblance to Davic Beckham :rotfl:)

Hey! Congrats on the soccer win! :cheer2:

Thanks!!!!!

I will keep my fingers crossed for no rain so Tricia can play. I know that all our games were moved back because of last week's monsoon. Canceling two weekends in a row - that stinks.

I'm finally caught up... envying your low-crowds karma and loving your laid-back touring style! :thumbsup2 (And laughing at all the light fixture pix for LL... she really started a trend, huh?!)

We had excellent karma - well put! And we were totally laid back - that was great.

Oh, and those LL light fixtures......I have seen more light fixtures for LL on the DIS. She has dedicated fans everywhere!

:cool1: congrats on the win!! Good luck this weekend! I can't wait to hear how it goes!!!

Thanks Melissa.....I will post results of tomorrow's game as soon as I can.

Woo hoo!! Great job on the win, boys!! That is SO COOL!

Thanks! Those boys are so stoked to have made it to the play offs!

Well put! It's totally wrong to keep using those mugs even after they become unrecognizable from being washed so many times. I like my idea of annual mugs!

FANTABULOUS!!!! Best of luck to Brian tomorrow.

I love it.... FANTABULOUS! What a great word. I'll save that one for tomorrow night because a win tomorrow would certainly be fantabulous!

Well, my week off is coming to a close. I didn't get much done and I didn't update my TR nearly enough. What can I say? :confused3

So here's what I did this week:

Monday - got hair cut/colored, did tons of wash, took 5 bags of clothes and misc items to Goodwill. Soccer game! :woohoo:

Tuesday - Brian thought he broke his hand playing volley ball. I took him to a medical aide unit for an xray. The PA who saw him said no sports for a week. :scared1: Are you kdding me??????? His xray was negative, bad sprain. He wouldn't wear his brace because he thought the coach and trainer would ask for a note to play on Thursday. He is much better now and no one asked for a note! :worship: I spent the rest of the afternoon shopping at Kohls and Walmart. Got a few early Christmas presents. :woohoo:

Wednesday - went furniture shopping in Dover. I really want a new couch and love seat, but I didn't see exactly what I was looking for. Of course, the ones I really liked were super expensive. So I decided to look around a bit more. Didn't get to any more furniture stores this week.

I hit ACMoore, Kohl's again (found nothing), and TJ Maxx. I got a new trash can and towels for my bathroom redo. I also got a really pretty comforter set for my bed. We have a king bed and everything is so expensive, but this was a reasonable $69 for quilt, shams, 3 pillows, and a bed skirt. I think it was marked down because it was a spring/summer theme - mostly white with green trim. It matches my carpet perfectly and I love it. It really adds an upscale look to my bedroom. I also bought a few more christmas presents.

That afternoon I had my coaching session with Joe Simmons who told me I had a beautiful voice (I was so excited) and a lot of potential. He also really liked one of the psalm settings I wrote. I felt really good about that. I then drove Joe to our other church were he had more sessions to give.

Thursday - I offered to drive Joe to our closet Dick's. He was looking for a tax free running shirt. I had to go to AAA and buy a discounted park ticket for a friend's daughter who is going to Disney next week. My discounted ticket was $18 cheaper than Disney. I took Joe to lunch and we booked it back to church, so he could start his sessions again.

Thursday night, of course, was the big soccer game. We also had a wrap up dinner at church for Joe. Unfortunately, I had to eat and run to get to the game.

Friday - I finally made it to the Rehobeth outlets. It was a beautiful weather day and I filled my trunk with my purchases. I got a bunch of beautiful pictures at Kirkland's for my bathroom redo. They are gorgeous and so reasonable. I got 2 Christmas presents there. I bought my secret santa gift for church (adopt a family gift), visited Aeropostle (kids gifts), and Old Navy (got a bag full of shirts for like $20 bucks). Seriously, I got myself Tshirts for $2 and school shirts for $3. I did some other misc shopping, scoring a new pair of jeans and sweatpants for the kids. I stopped at the Disney store (found nothing, although they had some awesome prices on Princess costumes), but I did get a new goofy jibbitz at the croc outlet.

So I powered shopped for 4 hours straight, then hoofed it back to pick up Brian from practice. I was exhausted last night!

So that was my week.

But that's really not why you are reading. You want to hear about what I did next at Disney. Soooooooooo, when I left off we had just gotten back from a fab day at DHS. Notice I have not complained about my feet for awhile. Not because they didn't hurt, but because my memory of my painful feet has faded. I do remember them really hurting that afternoon. Plust, my legs were so fatigued I could barely climb the stairs and I actually regretted turning down that room on the first floor. I honestly had to stop and eating landing to give my legs a rest. Not good. Not good at all! I also had taken to a non orthodox method of treating my blistered feet. I always carry bacitracin or neosporin with me. I have this thing about not cleaning a cut properly, so I like to have an antibacterial cream. Well, I started using that on my feet. And you know what - I think it actually helped. It cut down on the friction a bit. Or perhaps it was my imagination! :confused3

When we got back to the room I was so beat I decided to lay down on the bed for a few minutes. Well, you can guess what happened next. Yup.....I was out.....serious power nap action there. I woke up startled, thinking, "OMG what time is it?" Fortunately, we still had time for a quick trip to the pool before we needed to leave for dinner.

I almost forgot to show you guys our collection of towel animals. I think we had acquired this collection by our 3rd night.......

And here is our little window display......

We decided to go to the 60's pool because it was closer. Here's a picture of our dreaded stairs and the speaker that played that 70's music all day long:

Here's the obligatory Goofy picture that was right down the stairs from our room....

We stayed at the pool from about 4:30 to 5pm. It had been a beautiful pool day, but we hit the pool as the sun was just starting to set. Since I had a few free minutes I decided to send a text to C and to Sunnie RN. I wished C a good flight in the morning and told her to text me if she still wanted to meet at MK. I texted Sunnie RN that I hoped she was having a great trip.

I didn't hear back from either of them and I was starting to feel a bit bummed. :sad1: I told Denny that I had hoped for a couple of Dis meets this trip, but I wasn't hearing back from anyone. Now - as you probably already know - I did finally hear back from C the next day. But to date....I have not heard a word from Sunnie RN. In fact, I still have not seen hide or hair of Sunnie RN. Where is she?????? Has anyone seen any posts from here. I sent her a pm when I got home and nothing. I am started to worry about her. She has even started a PTR before she left. So, if anyone has heard from Sunnie RN please post!

Around 5pm we went back to the room to get ready for dinner. Tonight was our final dinner at Artist Point. I scheduled it for 6pm thinking that it would give us time to do something after dinner. Some of the options I considered were: (1) a very quick trip into MK (2) nightviewing at AK (3) minigolf.

When we were walking to the car, I took a bunch of pictures along the lake. I am going to post those pics now. I did take them at various times through the week, so I can't remember which I actually took on this specific evening. I thought it would be better to post them all together......

You did have a busy week! You'll be glad to go back to work to get a rest:lmao:

Love the lake pics! I think we stayed in the same building at POP... the music got rather 'old' after a while;)
