The theming of Tusker House is some of my favorite theming on property! I love how it makes you feel like you are about to head out on safari!

Lunch looks yummy! One of these days we will branch out and try something there other than breakfast!

Good Morning and I finally gottime this morning to read the whole TR in one sitting. I love all the great pics and you gave me an awesome start to a Sunday! I keep seeing your TR when I am adding updstes to mine but until today - never have had the quiet or chance to get over here!

I have been to the GF a few times and never appreciated the tiles so I will have to head back there and try that. One piece of advice if you can squeeze it in for your couples retreat in the spring is to try the GF Tea. My fiance and I did in March this year and it was by far one of our best times that week.

Manntra(sp?) posted pics of EE and having to walk off and all I have to say is I would be butt humping the stairs down. It looked like no railing and there is no way I would trust my legs not to send me tukkus over teakettle.

You two are so cute (smile or not) and I am glad you enjoyed your time. That fish though on his plate the first night - would have given me eebie jeebies for a week. It looked like it was waiting for mouth to mouth.

Good for you for taking a lazy day! I can't imagine you take too many of those and it's amazingly rejuvenating! Love the double feature, I know I was like a little kid with Eric last week at the TS double feature in 3D.

You know, most of us dream of having dull, ho hum, leisurely romantic vacations where you can stroll around, smell the roses, linger over the food and drink and pay attention to details otherwise missed. This might sound funny but those kinds of TR's are actually relaxing to read...you are taking us along iwth you and it is just lovely!

I adore that ceiling picture. I need to stay away from the photography board or it could start a whole new obsession.

Isn't that ceiling cool. That and the gondolas in Epcot are two of my favorite pictures so far on the trip.

Oh, and that little baby girl was so adorable. I hate that I have to keep reminding myself that photographing other people's children is off limits!

I don't know why you are so self-conscious about your smile I think it's beautiful!

Oh, it's just this thing I have about my crocked teeth. You know how everybody has body parts they dislike. Well, I have never liked my teeth. But I am starting to get over that with help from my DIS friends who are all so positive about the power of a smile. So thank you!

We missed Nemo last year and would really love to see it, it looks so impressive!

Nemo has to be near the top of your "must-do" list for next year!

I saw that "Lost on Safari" drink on CP's last TR and it looked mighty tasty! And our food was really good. So even though I really wanted Yak n Yeti, I still enjoyed TH quite a bit.

That one sounds yummy, too. I would like to try them all. Maybe I need to break out of my habit of not having my first afternoon drink until I hit the pool, cause every one of those sounds delish!

It was pretty neat in there. It was a nice refuge from the heat and there was so much to look at.

I think I still really want to try breakfast. I was just looking at another TR with breakfast pics and it really looks fun. Maybe next trip, but it would have to be OOP. Maybe I plan that instead of the LTT, which was supposed to be my one OOP TS.

They definately had a kids section for the buffet. Its hard to believe that he couldn't find something he liked there. there was so much to choose from.

See ......there is always another reason to go back! And the list just keeps getting longer and longer. TH was really a good meal. A lot of variety and healthy options.

I'm glad you are finding the TR relaxing. I know I am relying a lot on my pictures because they capture all the different things I was looking and trying to take it.

Some Interesting Factoids about the Animal Kingdom......

1. The small, colorful flags seen in Asia are prayer flags, common in the Tibetan culture. They are believed to bring prosperity, long life, and happiness. When they are placed outside, the wind carries their prayers throughout the world.

2. The prayer flags in the AK have generic icons to avoid being considered religious in anyway.

3. The traditionally displayed colors are: yellow, greenm red, white, and blue (left to right) and translate into earth, water, fire, cloud, and sky.

4. Most of the foliage for the AK was hand selected. Many of the seeds came from Nepal.

5. When EE was built the imagineers could not use traditional scaffolding because it obscured the views of the mountains. They created the idea of toothpick scaffolding. Over 2000 steel beams struck straight out of the mountain. These had flat bases for the artists to stand on as they worked. When the mountain range was finished the toothpicks were cut off.

6. The totems in front of EE were carved by Nepalese woodcarvers.

7. All of the benches in the AK are made from recycled milk jugs.

8. The original name for the Oasis was Genesis Gardens, but it was scrapped because of its religious overtures.

So after we left the TH we had so many choices as to what to do next.....

I really wanted to see the trails but it was soooooo hot. It was almost June hot. So I quickly ruled that out. I asked Denny if he wanted to see FOTLK, to which he replied, "Not really". I had already decided I was going to skip Safari and Rafiki's Planet Watch, well.... I didn't care wether we went there or not.

But one final thing I really wanted to explore was Discovery Island. And I really wanted to get an upclose look at the TOL.

This is a great picture!!! All of your Discovery Island pics are beautiful as well -- we always seem to zip right across the island -- I think we need to spend more time there exploring.

It's called a gorillapod! I just got one!!

It's about 10 inches tall and weighs literally nothing!

the best part is that the legs are flexible! You can bend them to attach to anything!!

I'm hoping to be able to use it to put the camera on a wall or attach to a fence or the stroller handle!!

I'm super excited about it and I'll let you know how I like it!!
