From couch to Healthy. Post Welcome.

I can't believe I missed your post. I don't get over to these journal as much as I should. I have started posting on mine again so I should be here more often.

I'm sorry to hear you had to take the other job. I know how much you loved AFLAC. How are the office politics going this time around? What do you do in the office?

How was the mint festival? I also read some of your older posts and discovered that you are a runner. I myself am actually a princess and I really would like to do the inaugural Princess 5K. The first problem is that it is on DHs birthday and I don't think he would go for it although you know I haven't actually asked him about it, sometimes he really surprises me. I don't know if he would want to be at WDW for his 52nd birthday. I could tell him we could go there and act like silly kids, that sounds fun. Problem #2 is I don't think I am capable of running a 5K and not getting 'swept'. The thought of training and working so hard and then being swept really scares me.

I know what you mean about battling the same 10 pounds. DH and I are on a strict 11 day eating plan. After that we take off three days and then start up the program again. Today I completed the 3rd day off and I feel terrible. When you are eating right your stomach does not feel bloated and stretched. I feel like I could explode right now. I fear I have found those 10 pounds again. I am ready to start the program again but tomorrow we are going to the a local minor league ball game. Our tickets includes a meal that is not on our program so we will be starting back on program on Tuesday. I hope I can eat healthy tomorrow. I have a Dr appointment on Friday. I have not seen her in 6 months and I would really like show a loss on the scale.

Your September trip sounds awesome. A marathon, a cruise, and a visit to WDW. What more could anyone want? Is it just you and Annette or are you going with other folks? I realize you will have lots of friends on the cruise since you are a regular there. I think Disney cruises seem so overpriced. I know they really do it right and you are paying for that service. DH and I are talking about going to Australia in a couple of years. I am trying to talk him into Adventures by Disney but he is concerned about the price there. I have read that they really treat you like a VIP and I really enjoy that type of treatment. Of course to attempt such a trip I will have to lose a great deal of weight to really enjoy myself. I will take any type of motivation,

I look forward to hearing from you soon. Let's set some goals and challenge each other to get moving again on our weight loss journeys. Tomorrow I will eat 5 fruits and vegetables, exercise for 30 minutes, and drink 64 ounces of water. Are you ready to commit?

My daughter had a healthy baby boy May 25. Wesley is my second grandson. I was able to go out to Seattle and spend a month with her family. Both my sons, their wives, first DGS, and DH came to Seattle in July for Wesley's baby blessing ceremony at church. We all then flew to our homes scattered all over the country. It was good to see everyone together again although we were just together in November for my baby DS's wedding.

Lean closer I am whispering this secret really quietly. Tonight DS called. He and his wife had my first grandson, Kyler in Jan 07. Guess what? She is pregnant again!!!!! She is barely pregnant, due in May and does not have a doctor confirmation yet so this news is HUSH HUSH but I know I can trust you.

Just got on the scale and I'm back up to 317. I leave for Barcelona in 29 weeks so i thought i would see how much i could lose before then. Life is kind of hectic now but if i organize myself i might be able to get some weight off. I'm now working and going to school full time so i need the energy to get thru the day.
Started exercising today and will start posting on sparks people my calories tomorrow.
