From Bonnet Creek to Blue Heron ... Will I Be Disappointed?

For our last three Disney trips, we stayed at WBC through Vacation Strategy and LOVED it! With Wyndham's recent computer system upgrade (last year) and the fact that we're going Prime Season (late Jan) instead of Value season (late Oct), the cost for a 2BR 2BA for two weeks at WBC went from $1500 to $2900. I know this is a reasonable rate, but given that we'll be at the parks 10 days, I'm planning to stay at Blue Heron Beach Resort this year (also for ~$1500 for two weeks ... for a 1BR 2BA with bunk beds in the hallway).

My questions revolve around how much I should temper my expectations. I am fairly certain that I will like WBC better, but have any of you had experience at BHBR? If so, will you share your experience with me? I want to save the money, but I don't want to hate the place we're staying. We could fork over the extra $ if it was really necessary. Is it?

Thank you in advance!!!

I have only stayed WBC but I know where BH is ... I think you can't compare the two at all, you'll just have to look at it as a different type of trip.

Is that $1500 inclusive of all their fees? Just wondering because looking at SkyAuction you can still get WBC for decent rates that time of year through them .. if you are comfortable with it. I have stayed at WBC a number of times and only used SkyAuction. Used them for Sheraton Vistana Resort as well (across from BH).

Thank you!

I have never tried SkyAuction. I'll check it out now and come back here with questions. Interested to hear others' perspectives as well.

Ok , so I do have a question about how this works.

There are 3 2BR WBC rooms available (7 day rental) as Buy It Now for $799 with following caveats ...

One place in ad says:

The Following Check-in Dates are Available for a 7 Night Stay!
January 4, 6, 18, 20, 26, 2019
February 1, 3, 2019
April 5, 14, 20, 26, 2019

Another place in ad says:
Check-in Dates Allowed:
Fri, Sat, Sun within the following date(s):
1/4/2019 thru 2/3/2019, 4/5/2019 thru 4/26/2019

I need 14 days, so check-in on Jan 26 and Feb 2 (consecutive Saturdays).

Also, it says ... Date Surcharge (2/1/2019-2/3/2019, 4/19/2019-4/21/2019) for $300 per unit.

I don't see a way to ask questions of the owner. My questions are:
  1. Can I buy two of these and stay in the same unit for 14 days?
  2. Can I check in for second unit on Feb 2?
  3. Will my total be $799+$799+$300=$1898ish?
I would be very willing to do this, just don't know how to go about finding this info out!

I've only stayed for one week so I'm not sure how it would work for 14 days.

Based on dates you want and what you show it says, looks like 2nd isn't a check in date.

The upcharges occur on any check in dates that fall in the upcharge date range. So looks like that may be your rate plus the $20 Admin fee which would be $1918. These have no tax or other fees added, it's all inclusive. I believe BH has tax, fees and cleaning fee ...

You would not be speaking to an owner, the units are being sold by a 3rd party, much like a Priceline or Orbitz.

SkyAuction's phone number off their Facebook page, (212) 486-1250.
