Hi!
Ty Gradtchr for your well wishes! DH's band came in a very close 2nd. They were less than 4 tenths of a point out of first. The really cool thing is that although the kids wanted to win no one seemed upset with 2nd. They knew they had done a great job. DH is a fantastic teacher. I'm so proud of him
Jackie, I wish I didn't have to have this stuff around the house. DH trick or treated yesterday. We managed to give out almost all our stuff, but we got a slew of candy back. DH at least put all the chocolate out of sight. In the past I would have just eaten it all so it wouldn't be an issue anymore. It's funny, I can deal with oreos in the house for DS's sake, but add candy to the mix and I'm overwhelmed.
Here's the good and bad news about my progress on the weight loss. The good news is that I lost another pound this week. The bad news is that my diet was terrible the last few days, so I bet I gain that pound back tomorrow.
I'm not going to list every thing I've eaten for the last two days. Here are some highlights (and lowlights). Both yesterday and today I've had good core meals for bfast and lunch. Go lean both days, of course. Hummus yesterday for lunch and a salad today. I even did pretty well today at dinner, despite being told that we were going out to Ruby Tuesdays for dinner. I got soup and salad. Not sure the point value, but had this been an average weekend it would have been a very good choice. The thing is I have had a bunch of candy. AND last night I went to that japanese steakhouse and ate everything on my plate - salad with ginger dressing (yum), soup (broth with mushrooms), veggies with rice, shrimp and filet mignon, and sherbert. Everything was cooked in oil and butter, even the steak.
I have done a good job of getting enough water. I've also had 2 glasses of champagne today.
It was late, but I managed to get yesterday's lower body workout in tonight. I did 25 minutes instead of 30, but at least I did them.
So, tomorrow's a new day and the excitement of the weekend is behind me. Time to get refocused for November and Thanksgiving!
