Hi.
I will be staying at the Poly the second week of September.
Do the Friendship Boats that run from the Poly to MK start earlier than the monorail?
Would boat, monorail or bus be best when wanting to get to MK for opening?
Also, when I want to go to GF or Contemporary in the evenings, should I use monorail or
boat? I have dinner at GF and Highway in the Sky starting at the Contemporary.

We will be staying in the Morea building but the walk isn't an issue.

Thank you so much!

First off, they're not Friendship Boats; FB's are the ones that run within Epcot and between Epcot & DHS. The MK boats are just called watercraft.

The Resort Monorail usually starts at 7am; MK watercraft may start as late as 30 minutes before opening. So ordinarily, the monorail would be better for rope drop. There are no buses from Poly to MK, except when the monorail is not running for some reason.

The boats from Poly go direct to MK, then leave MK for GF and Poly. Monorail would normally be faster (just 1 stop), but you might want to take the boat just for fun if the weather's nice and you have extra time.

No boats from MK to CR, so you would need to take the monorail to get there on transportation. If you take the boat to MK, you could walk to CR (about 8 minutes walk.)

Your post is very helpful. I think I will still call the watercraft Friendship Boats LOL It sounds so much nicer LOL but now know what to say when asking.
Thanks again!

Actually, the boats that run from the Bay Lake resorts to the MK are officially called "Resort Launches", they are considerably smaller than Epcot's flat-bottomed Friendship Boats.

Thank you. I actually used one two years ago when I moved from my one night stay at Poly Villas to GFVs and lost my
tiara the lake :( I wanted know which began first in the mornings, Boat or Monorail, and see that it is the monorail, even though
I feel like I hear the boats at the crack of dawn, and I get up early!
