well I will be getting some California sunshine in 16 days! not quite the same, but will work for me...2 days at DLR is better than a raining weekend at home

We headed over to DTD, did a little window shopping before heading down to HOB to wait for Judy and the other DISer's coming to see Rachel play!

First to show up was Crissy, then Tink and her family, we hung out a bit before they headed in for their ADR....we wait for Judy and family to show up! all of a sudden I saw them walking over by the Cirque bldg, so we chased after them....they girls had to use the restroom, so we said a quick hi to David and Christian and headed into the ladies room....

We will always have a great story of where we first met, in the ladies room! was so wonderful to finally meet them all!

headed over to HOB where Pete and rachel met the manager and a band member to get all the ducks in a row, we got to take a few photos while we waited

We met up with Marv (MarvAli) and his DS Johnathon and SherriDee and her DH and DD Morgan before heading in to hear Rachel and Pete play.

This girl is so talented, I had goose bumps listening to her. People would walk by with their mouths hanging open when they realized she was a young girl playing!

getting Rachel's autograph, so I will also be able to show people I knew her when

we got to hang out with Judy and her gang for a while longer, said our good-byes to the rest of the DIS groupies! and finally said our good nights to Judy and gang before heading back to our resort around 10!

was so wonderful to spend such an amazing night with such wonderful, dear friends.

What happy memories!!!! That night was so special!! Rachel was fantastic! More than fantastic! I took a picture of the ticket that Judy gave us. Definately the rock star experience for her! Surprisingly the food at the House of Blues was great too!

ah- we were lucky enough to do a meet with Tink too and got to meet Anakin- he is so darn sweet! He was immediately showing us all his pins. So cute!

The HoB night looks fun. So nice to see such rare talent in the young ones like RAchel!

we headed out to our DTD shopping day around 9:30, Megan's gift cards were burning a hole in her pocket!

took lots of photos along the way....had our favorite sandwich at E of S - Caprese, if you have never had one, you need to try it...so YUMMY!!!

did our shopping and looking around....Megan got a tigger pillow pet for herself and an eeyore for a friend (boy getting those both home was tough, lucky they are squishy) and headed back to the resort to drop off our goodies and get a taxi to head over for our visit at GiveKidsTheWorld and spend the afternoon with Judy and family....

GKTW is so wonderful....looks like CandyLand has exploded, we hung out at the pool for awhile

the girls had a blast playing in the pool together while we did some visiting, Judy and Pete were so sweet to invite us over and share the afternoon with them.

then went back to get cleaned up for dinner, ice cream and Mayor Clayton's birthday party!

after dinner we stopped by to ride on the merry go round --- the girls had decided to dress up that night, so they were very sweet and loaned Megan a skirt to wear which was from a Big Giver.

and had some ice cream

it was then time for Mayor Clayton's birthday party ( he is GKTW mascot)

they had cotton candy, cake, snow cones to enjoy...some therapy dogs were there to play with the kids....lots of dancing and of course singing Happy Birthday to the Mayor and the families who were celebrating birthdays that week.

we looked around a bit and went to see the Castle which has thousands of little gold stars on the ceilings....each one represents a wish child...it was a very emotional stop for me....making me so grateful that Megan is healthy..

we had so much fun hanging out with our dear friends, enjoying the party and sights of GKTW....it is such a wonderful place for these families to visit and enjoy being a family together....

Great updates and pictures Lisa! That evening was very special enjoying Rachel's amazing talent, getting to meet so many new DISfriends in person, and the food was once again wonderful. I am so glad Jonathan and I got to be a part of it all.

And if anyone else makes it to House of Blues to eat, Jonathan and I highly recommend the Voodoo Shrimp appetizer. Next time we go we are thinking of each ordering one of those and making it our meal! (although we really enjoy the Jambalaya also!!!)
