Friends, Wishes & Treats Oct WDW Trip ~ ~Aloha! HI cruise TR is complete!

sorry for the lack of updates everyone! will do my best to get one posted tomorrow!
have a sinus headache/headcold so its limiting my DIS time!

yes we are going to DLR for two days...piggy backing it to our annual trip back to Modesto to see our friends...using airline and hotel points for that portion of our trip! love when one vaca helps pay for another one.
I know we've done lots of trips this year, and hope to continue as many as possible....we've decided its what we want to do and if any opportunity comes up, we are grabbing it and going!! four/five planned for next year already!

DLR - President day weekend
HI cruise - spring break - courtesy of grandma
Trip to NC - visiting Judy and her gang, taking Megan back to Charleston where she was born and maybe to GA to visit some other friends - early summer
Modesto - maybe quick weekend trip for friends wedding in March and then again at xmas time

yes we have the travel bug! plus I figure I better do as much as I can now before Megan doesn't want to hang out with me anymore

We are going to be in the resort less than a week apart!! I have to warn you that we were there on President's Day this year and I have to tell you it was crowded!!

All that travel sounds like fun and a great excuse for girl time. Can't wait to hear about all of your adventures.

I still have Disney bags all over my guest room but I need to clean them up before our guests arrive for turkey day.

We are going to be there 2/14-2/16. It is just a quick Valentines trip for us.

One thing that is nice about Disneyland that is nice is that you don't have to stay onsite. There are other more reasonable places within walking distance, with a few that are even a bit closer.

I worry someday my kids won't want to hang out with me anymore. My kids go to a small private school and my ds is now in 4th grade so he gets a locker instead of a cubby. Sometimes the school leaves notes for parents in the locker so it needs to be checked everyday. My ds already refuses to let me come to his locker with him. I do sneak and check it from time to time to make sure he's not hiding anything in there!

Have fun with all your travels. I love to travel which is why it's killing me that we can't afford to do much right now. Marianne just needs to buy our RI house and that will help. We do have a long weekend planned at a mountain cabin later this month and I'm really looking forward to that.

You know, Lisa, you could always come to MN... We do have the MOA and we could hang out.

Seriously - I am glad you have so many trips planned - if that's what you and Megan enjoy doing together - then more power to you - You both have been through so much - you deserve to have lots of fun things to look forward to.

I know your pain, Megan is to the point she really doesn't want me to aknowledge her when I'm working the student store, so I try to be good!
I never travelled much as a child, but Jim did, so he really gave me the travel bug and of course we gave it to Megan! her first trip was a 4 weeks old and first plane trip at 3 months....with all the moving we have done I've been in all but HI, WV, Maine and ND....Megan's been in 23 states!

No, that is nothing really. I think that the walk from the PPH and the DLH can be pretty long depending on where your room is or if the Monorail is working.

Good morning all, sorry for the delay but here we go.....


after a unrestful night (I never sleep good the first night anywhere)

we woke up early, had a quick breakfast in the room and headed over to the bus stop....it was literally a minute walk from our room! only waiting about 3 minutes before the MK bus arrived! so did we make rope drop?

yes we did! we had never made it to MK for the opening ceremony!

The mayor of Magic Kingdom!

we were'nt in the best place for photos...but wanted to get in the park quick!

first up....Space Mtn! had a 5 minute wait, got a FP for later, and jumped in the line!
then rode the people mover

rode Buzz, then visited the Laugh Floor and headed over to the hub for some photopass photos

then headed over to AdventureLand!

finally got to see Capt Jack!

and our Favorite pirate!!

before riding on POTC and the jungle cruise!

decided to take a break, so we stopped at the Dole Whip and Megan got ice cream and I got a pineapple juice ( this was about 11:00)

did a bit of walking around and headed over to FL to ride IASW and the tea cups....lines were still pretty short at this time! had been texting with LoveThatTink all morning, we were planning on meeting up for lunch, still had some time so we ran back over to Space Mtn and then waited to join them at Cosmic Rays...luckily I got us a table as it was getting crowded!

have a good lunch with Tink, her DH Goofy and DS Anakin....we had never met but seemed like we had known them forever! Anakin and Megan hit is off pretty quickly, he is such a sweet little guy!

after lunch we asked Anakin what he wanted to do....of course Buzz! jumped on the ride, here's our space rangers in the dump shop

think it was about 2:00 and it was getting pretty warm for us and Megan wasn't feeling to good, so we said our good-bye's until later that night and started heading back.

we got back to our room and took a little nap and got cleaned up for the big reason for our trip.....Meeting Judy and her family and to experience Rachel playing at the House of Blue's!!!!

the walk from PPH is really hard...we stayed there when Megan was 5 (no stroller for first time) was long getting back at the end of the day!
