We are planning a trip with some friends, a family of four, in October. I would assume that at the time of check in, they can split the room cards to charge separate credit cards. Is this correct? We are looking forward to the trip. Any suggestions on how to make it run smoother will be appreciated.

If you are sharing a room with the same reservation #, then you cannot setup separate accounts. On the bill, they will list the key #'s with each charge (each key has a separate ending #) and you can split out the charges that way and then pay separate at checkout. If you don't feel comfortable with that, just get only your keys with charging priviledges and they will have to use their regular credit card.

what type of room are you getting - 2 studios - just make the other reservation in their name - a 2-bedroom if dedicated can't be done - if lock out -

you need to call MS (NOW - don't wait) - tell them your guest need their own room (studio part) - housekeeping will close and lock the doors between the rooms - you get a 1-bedroom and a studio for the price in points of a 2-bedroom - you get to charge on your part and your friends get to charge on their part. Your keys won't fit their door, and their keys won't fit your door. If you would like (and only if you would like) - you can unlock the doors between the villas.

this is the only way (to my knowledge) this can be done. Expect as I say - get 2 studios.

the front desk can NOT do this - you must call MS and do it before you arrive - once you are there it is too late! the computer has to be notified that there are 2 rooms - not 1.

MS is not use to during this so be patient - also be patient with the front desk - they will first try to put the rooms back together - the computer should not let them and you will probably get a phone call.

just be patient!
